Friday the 13th TV Series in Development at The CW
Last year, we learned a possible Friday the 13th TV series was in the works from the director of the original 1980 film, Sean S. Cunningham. There hadn't been much word on that project since, but now comes news that the project has ended up at The CW.
CW head Mark Pedowitz confirmed today that the network was currently developing a Friday the 13th series, to be written by The Pretender's Steve Mitchell and Craig Van Sickle.
Ranking Kojima’s 8 Metal Gear Games
With the release of The Phantom Pain nearly upon is, we decided to take a look back at the iconic games in the series that Hideo Kojima himself has directed and see how they stack up against one-another. Though there are dozens of strange portable games, card battlers, remakes, and action-oriented offshoots to the series, we decided to focus on the core eight games that Kojima had full control of. We all adore games like Ghost Babel and Revengeance, but we left them off the list due to their limited Kojima development. On the dawn of the arrival of his ninth and final Metal Gear games, here are his current eight, ranked.
The game that put Hideo Kojima on the map, the original Metal Gear remains impressive nearly 30 years later thanks to the ideas it introduced that still exist in the series to this day. Controlling this new hero named Solid Snake through the jungles of Outer Heaven forced players to rely on a slew of stealth techniques that few games in ’87 applied. Iconic elements from the series, such as exclamation points and enemy alert status’, all made their rudimentary debut in the original Metal Gear. Even the foundation for the series’ spaghetti bowl of a story, including characters like Grey Fox and Big Boss, all had their start the MSX2. Given that the original Metal Gear takes place directly after the events of The Phantom Pain on the Metal Gear timeline, its importance may be even greater come September. – Marty Sliva
The 7 Best Moments from Dota 2’s TI5 Tournament
The International 5 has come and gone, but the tournament was such a special event beyond the scope of its enormous $18 million prize pool. It’s where the biggest and best went head to head, for fun and for glory, and created some of the most memorable and spectacular moments in Dota 2 history.
TI5 is also where Valve showed some much-needed personality, spotlighting the people and players that make this tournament a great place to be, not just to watch.
IGN attended The International 5 at Seattle's Key Arena -- and these are the moments we’ll remember most.
The explosive, game-winning play that earned Evil Geniuses first place at The International 5 sent the Key Arena audience into a frenzy. With Sumail down, EG was on the back foot, giving CDEC -- the unstoppable underdog of the event -- room to mount a comeback. But a Ice Blast from ppd’s Ancient Apparition set the stage for a devastating Echo Slam from Universe’s Earthshaker. It secured four kills. This was the catalyst for EG’s $6.6 million victory.

Combat seems quicker in the third Dark Souls game, and there's a new addition to combat called Weapon Arts. Weapon Arts is a special move that can be used by getting into the Ready Stance with the left-trigger.
Shields are affected by the Weapon Arts mechanic, as well. Performing the move requires either a two-handed weapon or "kite/round shield" equipped in your left hand. Torches will work similar to the way they work in Bloodborne. They won't need to be lit from an existing source, and the won't have a limited burn time.
Mark Millar’s Nemesis Movie Finds a New Home?
