Minecraft Gets The Scorch Trials Multi-Player Mod
The Maze Runner sequel The Scorch Trials is going Minecraft with a new mod. And we've got some exclusive posters to prove it.
The new multi-player mod for Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials can be found right here. And to celebrate this alliance of Mazes and Mines and Trials, 20th Century Fox has created a series of Minecraft character posters based on the film. Minecraft players have the ability to skin their own avatar (known as “Steve” in the Minecraft world) to look like Thomas or the other Gladers.
The Minecrafted Character Posters & Player Skins feature Thomas, Newt, Minho, Rosa, Harriet, and Teresa as seen within the movie’s Minecraft multi-player mod. In addition to the posters, fans can now skin their own Minecraft players to look like Thomas and the other
Headlander: Double Fine’s New Decapitation-Centric Sci-Fi Adventure
Headlander is the next game from Broken Age developer Double Fine, and the 2D-side-scrolling sci-fi adventure is coming in 2016 from publisher Adult Swim Games. No platforms have been announced quite yet.
As is the case with every Double Fine game, Headlander is unlike any game the studio has made before. It marries the adventure game spirit of the developer’s heritage with the limitless personality and spectacular art direction it’s become revered for. But within that familiar framework, Headlander is a beautiful comedy by way of Metroid and Logan’s Run. It’s about adventure, exploration, space, shag carpets, robots, robot dogs, robot dancing, and decapitating yourself constantly.
R. Mika Revealed for Street Fighter 5
Capcom has announced Street Fighter V's next character, the flamboyant wrestling fan-favorite Rainbow Mika, aka R. Mika.
A new trailer posted on the PlayStation Blog shows off an assortment of R. Mika's wrestling moves, including an assortment of body slams, power bombs, and many more that incorporate her tag team partner Nadeshiko.
R. Mika's last, and only, appearance in the series was Street Fighter Alpha 3. Like Sakura with Ryu, R. Mika idolizes Zangief, though it might be safe to say she brings much more energy to her matches.
"By calling Nadeshiko at the right time using R. Mika’s V-Trigger ability," Capcom community manager Peter "Combofiend" Rosas said, "you’ll be able to setup sneaky attacks and punishing command grab mix-ups that are sure to knock the stuffing out of your opponent. Players who enjoy close-combat guessing games and striking fear into the hearts of opponents will find R. Mika an absolute delight to play."
I Can’t Escape: Darkness Gets a Release Date
I Can’t Escape: Darkness is coming to PC, Mac, and Linux on September 17, 2015.
The game is the follow-up to 2013’s I Can’t Escape, and puts players in a caliginous maze-like living dungeon where “everything conspires against your escape.”
Also revealed in the latest gameplay trailer is the introduction of death messages (think “YOU DIED,” only with more description). Upon succumbing to the dungeon, players will be presented with how many steps they took before they met an untimely end. One of the examples given, which are Tweetable, is: “After taking 18 steps and collecting 0 keys in 01m 18s, I was poisoned to death by a damn rat.”
Dwarfs Revealed for Total War: Warhammer
Dwarfen Axe & Hammer Units have been revealed for Total War: Warhammer.
Today’s video focuses on three melee units known as Longbeards, Ironbreakers, and Hammerers. Dwarfs, for those who don’t know, are expert miners and craftsmen who work ancient forges where “centuries of hereditary knowledge are smithed into unrivalled arms and armor.”
Earlier this month IGN caught up with lead writer Andy Hall to discuss how Total War: Warhammer wants to be bigger and better than its predecessors.

Comic Book Reviews for August 26, 2015
DC COMICS
Written by Cullen Bunn | Drawn by Trevor McCarthy & Jesus Merino
Aquaman didn’t really need a status quo shake-up, but the series got one anyway thanks to DC You. The book’s new direction is unfolding well enough under Cullen Bunn’s hand, with a renewed emphasis on Arthur as a loner and the divide between he and Mera. This issue also features a cool team-up between Arthur and some of his enemies, though the story never mines that team-up in any real depth. The constant back-and-forth between the present storyline and flashback scenes is also growing repetitive, though the shifts between Trevor McCarthy’s dark, surreal pages and Jesus Merino’s more classical approach add some visual spice. The good news is that as Bunn continues to fill in the gaps between past and present, the potential is there for a return to a more cheery and optimistic Aquaman comic once more. -Jesse
Trine Series’ Future ‘in Question’ Says Developer
Developer Frozenbyte has released both written and video responses to negative fan feedback over Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power.
Last week in a post on the Trine 3 Steam page, Frozenbyte's Vice President Joel Kinnunen said that "the future of the series is now in question, as the feedback, user reviews and poor media attention has caught us by surprise."
Kinnunen blamed the relative shortness of the game on the switch to 3D. "We initially had a much longer story written and more levels planned, but to create what we envisioned, it would have taken at least triple the money, probably up to 15 million USD," he wrote.
