Collegiate Hearthstone Tournament Offers $100k Prize Pool
Starting this fall, eligible college players will be able to compete in a Hearthstone tournament for their share of a $100,000 scholarship prize pool.
Not unlike the Heroes of the Dorm event taking place earlier this year, this tournament is open to current college students and will be conducted as a 3v3 team format, where each team plays a single deck for the best of five matches.
The tournament will begin on September 28, with the grand finals taking place in January. Anyone interested in signing up can see if they qualify to register via TeSPA's website.

We Cut an Amiibo in Half and it was Almost Impossible
If there’s anything we’ve learned from trying to split one of Nintendo’s amiibo in half, it’s that they’re damn tough. This was supposed to be a simple assignment - cut an amiibo in half, and document the results for the world.
We've since learned the hard way that Nintendo's line of interactive figures are made of near-impossible to cut polystyrene mixtures, unless you’ve got a hacksaw, some pliers and a lot of willpower.
Lucky for us, we had all of the above:
Wrestling Wrap Up: Rollins to Face Sting and Cena at NOC
I don't know, guys and gals. I was riding a super high wave coming off SummerSlam and that whole weekend and the following night's RAW with the Stinger and the Dudleys and the whatnot. And now...?
This week's RAW be like "Hey, you got three great shows in a row. We're shocked too! It's time to settle in to what you know. Get ready for turds."
So Sting came out (to a tepid Tampa crowd who was bad and should feel bad) to reveal his big motivation for going after Rollins last week. And it was to say that... Rollins was a s***ty champ. Fine. I get that argument for a babyface challenger. Rollins is "a joke." He cheats. He's slimy. Greasy. Oily. Okay, I'm going too far here. But you get my meaning. Even though all Seth's challengers use the same argument, it fits. So then was Sting ALSO back to take out Rollins as revenge on Triple H for hitting him with a sledghammer to gain a win at WrestleMania?
Rogue One May Pull a Hateful Eight
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the upcoming spin-off film from director Gareth Edwards, may be shooting in the classic 70mm widescreen format.
According to The Playlist, reports suggest the film will be shot using the same Ultra Panavision 70 anamorphic lenses "recreated" for Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight by Panavision. Interestingly, however, at Comic-Con in July Tarantino said that the lenses he used to shoot Hateful Eight weren’t just the same type that were used on classic epic films like Ben-Hur, but were in fact the same lenses.

Its new offline viewing mode allows Prime members to download TV show episodes and movies to their phones or tablets while they're online, so they can watch them later without an internet connection.
Prime Video's downloadable selections include TV shows like Hannibal, Under the Dome, and Sons of Anarchy, and movies like Star Trek Into Darkness, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

Cibele: The Most Authentic, Romantic Game I’ve Ever Played
I can’t stop thinking about Cibele. Far from the noise of the PAX show floor, the demo I played was on a Macbook in a quiet hotel lobby, but it’s stuck with me more than any of the big-budget AAA games or extravagant booths I saw during the show.
In the words of its creator Nina Freeman, Cibele is “a game about love, sex, and the internet.” It’s the true, autobiographical story of meeting someone in an online game and eventually progressing that relationship to the point of meeting up in-person and having sex. It’s mature, it’s unique, and it’s as honest and authentic as any game I’ve ever played.
Just calling it “autobiographical” is underselling it. The game, which is divided into three acts, begins with actual video of a younger Freeman sitting at her computer. Once you take control, you’re clicking around her virtual desktop, getting a taste of her life by looking through selfies, drafts of blog posts, homework, emails. It felt almost creepy to rifle through someone’s most intimate personal details, but it was also an incredible way to establish who this teenage girl is, what she’s like, who she has in her life.
