Destiny: Exploring The Taken King’s New Crucible Maps
In about one week's time, Destiny is yet again set to evolve. The evolution of Bungie's shared-world shooter has been ongoing and the developer is yet again listening to fans and implementing some long needed changes. This week we get a preview of what to expect from the Crucible side of things. We already know that the Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris are going on a leave of absence for the time being, but in their place we're getting multiple new gametypes, including the popular Rift mode. Rift is Destiny's Capture the Flag with a few tweaks, including a large detonation that kills anyone near you when scoring some points on the opposing team. Needless to say, it's quite rewarding.

New Wii U Bundle Comes With Pre-Installed Mario Kart 8 in US
Nintendo has announced a new Wii U bundle is now available in North America.
The bundle will set you back $299 and includes a premium Wii U console with Mario Kart 8 pre-installed, along with a Nintendo eShop download card for the game's two DLC packs.
Mario Kart 8’s additional content packs have been a pleasant surprise for anyone still itching to race. The November pack wowed us with the addition of Link and Hyrule Circuit, before a second pack added a pair of Villagers, Isabelle, and an amazing Animal Crossing course, a track that randomly picks one of four seasons as a level motif.
And if eight new gorgeous tracks, four new karts, and three new racers wasn’t enough, there’s 200cc -- a blistering new speed level that really changes the way you race.
The Force Awakens One Day Early in the UK
It’s been announced that Star Wars: The Force Awakens will hit UK screens a day earlier than previously announced.
Episode VII will now be released on December 17, one day before the sci-fi sequel hits US screens.
Confirmation came via the official Star Wars UK Facebook page via a brief video explaining that there’s exactly 100 days to go.
The UK won’t be the first territory to see The Force Awakens however, with the film releasing in France on December 16.
So who is heading to Paris with us?
Chris Tilly is the Entertainment Editor for IGN in the UK and really, REALLY can't wait for this. He can be found talking nonsense on The Superhero Show and Twitter.
Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is Coming to PC
Capcom has announced Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is coming to PC in January 26.
The announcement was made on Twitter, and marks the first activity we've heard with regards to the franchise since a trademark for Dragon's Dogma Online was registered earlier this year.
Released in 2012, Dragon's Dogma is an open-world fantasy RPG in which players hunt down a dragon. Its first major expansion Dark Arisen was later bundled in with the original title and had players land on an island to fight new enemies and Death itself.
Silent Hill’s Akira Yamaoka Performing Live in UK Shows
Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka will be performing five Silent Hill Live shows across the UK later this year.
The shows will take place in Bristol on October 29, Cardiff October 30, London November 1, Southampton November 2, and Manchester on November 3. All will feature Yamaoka and a live band performing some of the series' most iconic scores.
IGN reviewed Silent Hill 2 in 2002, stating that "with Silent Hill 2, Konami has delivered a deep, if confusing and somewhat tiresome adventure that's scary in a disturbing, eerie fashion.
Konami Issues Metal Gear Solid 5 Save Corruption Warning
Konami has revealed there's a risk of your Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain save becoming corrupt and unusable if you bring Quiet with you as a buddy on Mission 29 or Mission 42.
An update on the company's support site explains that the only way to currently prevent this from happening is by not bringing Quiet with you on either of these missions. The issue affects The Phantom Pain on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC and a fix is being worked on.
Konami has had a tumultuous year after it became clear that Kojima would be leaving the company, followed by the cancellation of Silent Hills, and the announcement of a "mobile first" future.

The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone Expansion Release Date
CD Projekt Red has announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be getting its first expansion on October 13.
Hearts of Stone will provide over 10 hours of new content, including new characters, monsters, romance and storylines, alongside a new Runewords system.
The story of the expansion sees Geralt hired to defeat a bandit captain called Olgierd von Everec - a man who possesses the power of immortality. You'll apparently be able to recruit a crew of break-in artists, party with a ghost and meet a host of new and bizarre creatures.
Alongside a digital release, Hearts of Stone is apparently getting a limited boxed edition costing $19.99 / €19.99, which comes with a digital code of the game and two actual physical decks of Gwent cards, along with a rulebook. Anyone who's already purchased the Expansion Pass will be able to purchase the cards separately at a special site.
Bringing Queersploitation to Comics
Steve Orlando's Virgil graphic novel with artist J.D. Faith has found a new home at Image Comics. After his success with his first Image comic Undertow and taking on DC's new Midnighter solo series, it's little surprise his star has continued to rise. Virgil was originally made via Kickstarter, but now it's getting a shiny new release from Image this Wednesday, September 9.
We talked to Orlando about his action-thriller comic that takes place in Jamaica and features a cop who gets outed as homosexual, and the violent aftermath that ensues.
