River Song Returning for Doctor Who Christmas Special
River Song, the beloved time traveling professor of archaeology played by Alex Kingston, will be returning to Doctor Who for this year's Christmas special, which premieres Christmas Day on BBC and BBC America.
Alongside the announcement of River Song's return, BBC America provided a brief outline of the character's role in the upcoming special: "It’s Christmas Day in the future and the TARDIS is parked on a snowy village street, covered in icicles, awaiting its next adventure. Time traveller River Song meets her husband’s new incarnation, in the form of Peter Capaldi, for the first time this Christmas."
Mega Man Movie Reportedly in Development at Fox
Mega Man, one of the most popular video game franchises of all time, is reportedly heading to the silver screen.
According to The Tracking Board, "20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment have started development" on a feature film version of the classic Capcom game. Fox and Chernin are also the parties behind the rebooted Planet of the Apes franchise.
Mega Man started in 1987 for the NES and has, in the decades since, spawned dozens of games and sold over thirty million copies. Mega Man has also been adapted for comics, manga, and anime.
Fox had not responded to our request for confirmation, denial or comment at time of publish. We will, of course, update this report should they respond.
Arrow: Diggle’s Costume Revealed!
At long last, John Diggle is going to get a costume on Arrow! The CW have revealed this first look at the suit, which will debut on this show in Season 4.

You won't have to wait long to see Diggle in action in the costume, as it will be seen in the Arrow: Season 4 premiere airing Wednesday, October 7 at 8pm PT on the CW.

Luke Cage: House of Cards Actor Cast as Cottonmouth
Mahershala Ali, known for playing Remy Danton in House of Cards and Boggs in The Hunger Games films, has been cast as the villain Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes in the Netflix Original Series, Marvel's Luke Cage. The news first broke on Marvel.com.

The adorable BB-8 droid from the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens will soon be available as a remote-control toy. Revealed as part of the Star Wars Force Friday worldwide toy event, the tiny, spherical droid will unquestionably be rolling its way onto the wishlists of kids everywhere this December.
Check out this slideshow of high-quality images of the Sphero-made toy. Sphero is also behind the self-balancing droid that will be part of the upcoming Star Wars film.

Goosebumps 2 Is in the Works
Though Goosebumps doesn't come out for another month, Sony Pictures is reportedly already working on a sequel.
The Tracking Board reports Sony is searching for a screenwriter for Goosebumps 2, with the company believing the first film will kick off a new franchise. In addition, the film's stars — Jack Black, Dylan Minnette and Odeya Rush — are signed for more movies.
As for the director, Monsters vs. Aliens filmmaker Rob Letterman is helming Goosebumps, but it's not known whether or not he will return for a sequel.

iPad Pro Rumored for November Launch
Don't rush out and buy a new iPad just yet, as new rumors suggest that Apple will debut the heavily-rumored 12.9-inch iPad at its iPhone event next week.
The event, set for Wednesday, September 9, is expected to contain a host of new hardware announcements, including the iPhone 6S and a fourth-gen Apple TV. According to 9to5Mac, though, Apple is also said to be unveiling a pair of new iPads. Specifically, the iPad Pro and the much smaller iPad mini 4.
