Harmonix Outlines Rock Band 4 Career Mode
Harmonix has given a detailed breakdown of the Career mode coming to Rock Band 4. Initially, choices will be straightforward, but "later on things will get… trickier," Harmonix said.
The mode is designed to start your band off as a small-town act with a few followers, and through the choices you make, build yourself up to "figure out exactly what kind of band you are." This means decisions like choosing between a manager, which could lead to "boat loads of cash," or taking to the open-road and the freedom (and risk) associated with it.
In a nutshell, Rock Band 4's campaign really is RPG-like in its execution. "Each choice that you and your band make impacts your story," along with the sorts of shows encountered. Harmonix promises that some paths will "lead to more freedom," while others will trade off restrictions in the set-list for bigger payouts.

You’re Saying ‘Voldemort’ Wrong
J.K. Rowling says that just about everyone, including the actors in her movie adaptations, have been mispronouncing the name of Harry Potter antagonist Voldemort.
The revelation came from Twitter (via CNN), after Potter fan Michael Lucero mentioned that the "T" is actually supposed to be silent. Rowling herself acknowledged the factoid in a reply by wryly pointing out how obscure it is:
... but I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who pronounces it that way. https://t.co/HxhJ5XY5HP

Apple OS X El Capitan Coming September 30
The newest version of Apple's OS X, El Capitan, is set to launch at the end of September.
Apple actually revealed the operating system's release date yesterday during their hardware event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, but didn't draw any attention to it. El Capitan's preview page makes it official, however, setting its public release for September 30.
As for the contents of the updated OS, it aims to improve upon several features introduced by the previous OS version, OS X Yosemite, as well as make everything run a bit smoother; Mail, Maps, app management, and Notes get a few tweaks that make them more flexible and useful. El Capitan also adds a new Split View feature, which, as the name implies, allows users to view two apps at once.
