See Doctor Who S8 Finale in Theaters Before S9 Begins
Fathom Events and BBC Worldwide are bring the finale of Season 8 of Doctor Who to cinemas nationwide this week.
The two-part episode entitled "Dark Water/ Death in Heaven", will be shown in Real D 3D in theaters tonight, September 15, and tomorrow, September 16.
In addition, viewers will catch a never-before-seen prequel to the first episode of Season 9, and Wil Wheaton will be hosting an interview with Doctor Who stars Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman. Tickets are available from the Fathom Events website.

Sony Shuts Down its Online Store in Europe
Sony has confirmed the closure of its online store in Europe.
The company announced in a tweet that its goods will only be purchasable from its retail partners. This seems to be the case, as upon landing on the Sony UK homepage there's no Store button in site, and attempting to go to the old URL sees you redirected anyway. While some items on the site do still have "Buy" buttons next to them, clicking on it takes you to sites like John Lewis.
Most upsetting, however, is the closure of the Sony Outlet Store, which used to enable savvy shoppers to pick up Sony goods at discounted prices.The only store that seems to still be operational in Europe at this stage is the Sony Mobile Store.
NBC Cancels Mr. Robinson; Renews Carmichael Show
Making quick decisions on their two recent new summer comedies, NBC has cancelled Mr. Robinson, while renewing The Carmichael Show for a second season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the three week, six episode run of Mr. Robinson starring Craig Robinson did not perform as well as Jerrod Carmichael's semi-autobiographical series.
The Knick: Season 2 Trailer and Posters
Cinemax has released a new trailer and several character posters for Season 2 of The Knick, from director Steven Soderbergh.
Clive Owen returns as the brilliant but emotionally tortured surgeon Dr. Thackery as the second season, set in 1901, finds the staff of the Knick in turmoil as they prepare for the hospital to be shuttered in favor of a new building uptown. In this world of corruption, invention and progress, everyone is searching for the new path that will help him or her survive. The creators and writing team of Jack Amiel & Michael Begler serve as executive producers along with Gregory Jacobs, Steven Soderbergh, Michael Sugar and Clive Owen.
Red Dragon Mission to Shuttle Mars Rocks to Earth May Launch by 2022
NASA engineers have revealed proof of concept "Red Dragon" project that uses SpaceX's Dragon capsule to shuttle samples of Mars rock back to Earth, Space.com reports.
Developed independently from SpaceX, the yet-to-be approved project could launch by 2022 to pick up samples collected by NASA's 2020 Mars rover and send them to Earth.
Ryan Browne Goes From ‘God Hates Astronauts to Kickstarter
Comics creator Ryan Browne has been keeping very busy over the past couple years. Browne recently wrapped up his ten-issue series God Hates Astronauts, a surrealist comedy/sci-fi epic about a band of unusual heroes defending Earth from extraterrestrial invaders. Browne is also focusing his attention on a new Kickstarter crowdfunding drive for the trade paperback version of Blast Furnace, a series wherein every single page is written and drawn in the span of one hour. The 280-page TPB will collect the entirety of Browne's series in full-color glory for the first time.
We were happy to have to chance to chat with Browne about both of these projects, as well as what other projects he has in the pipeline. Browne also shared his thoughts on the importance of Kickstarter to independent creators and weighed in on the recent controversy over Archie Comics' canceled Kickstarter drive.
54 Year Old Man Receives 3D-Printed Titanium Chest
A Spanish cancer patient has had their sternum and rib cage replaced with a 3D-printed titanium model.
Via the CSIRO blog, the 54-year-old patient was suffering from a chest wall sarcoma, which is a type of cancerous tumor that can grow around bone. Due to the complexity that comes with recreating a prosthetic capable of acting as a sternum and rib cage, the doctors involved decided to enlist the help of Melbourne-based medical device company Anatomics – the people responsible for the creation of the titanium chest.

Bloodborne's first DLC, The Old Hunters, will be available November 24. A special edition of Bloodborne that includes the Old Hunters DLC will be available on December 3.
Gravity Daze, or Gravity Rush in the Western release, is coming to PS4 on December 10 for Japan and February 2016 for Europe and North America. Sony also announced a 2016 release window for Gravity Daze 2 and showed off a new trailer and a 2016 release window.
A Super Mario Maker Stage is Coming to Smash Bros.
A Super Mario Maker-themed level is coming to Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS.
The stage appears to be randomly generated in terms of where blocks are placed, and which Super Mario skin pack it uses. Also, if blocks are destroyed by the player, the Mario Maker hand can appear to re-draw them back into place.
The Super Mario Maker DLC stage is coming on September 30.
The Super Mario Maker DLC stage joins the already robust smattering of downloadable content released for Smash Bros., which includes numerous costume packs, and extra characters. If you’re an amiibo collector, don’t forget every Smash Bros. character will be getting their own plastic figurine.
