Why Iron Man Just Hit the Jackpot

Because Marvel isn't feeling shy about revealing details of the All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe before the relaunch begins, last week we learned that Mary Jane Watson will be joining the cast of Brian Bendis and David Marquez's Invincible Iron Man in December. On the surface, this seems like a very random change to the status quo of both characters, as if Tony Stark has a quota to fill when it comes to spunky, attractive, redhead sidekicks. But the truth is that Mary Jane is a Marvel character who has been in desperate need of an overhaul for years. A partnership with Tony Stark might be just what both characters need to thrive in the new Marvel Universe.

Once Upon a Time Season 5 Will Have an LGBT Romance

Once Upon a Time is adding an LGBT relationship to the series in Season 5 as Jamie Chung is set to return for a multi-episode arc as Mulan.

At a Season 5 preview Q&A, showrunners Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis discussed with members of the press how Once Upon a Time will catch up with Mulan's adventures in Season 5. They didn't confirm whether Mulan will be one of the characters in the LGBT love story, nor did they address whether it will be between previously introduced OUAT characters or new ones.

"We know that that community has been big supporters of the show, and we would love to tell a love story that reflects that," Kitsis said.

Horowitz continued, "We want the show to reflect the world as it is now. Whether that's going to be with any particular character we're not going to say. It's something we want to do this year, and it's something we think is due and important to do on the show because it's the world we live in."

Atlus Details Persona 5’s Four Main Characters

Persona 5 features a cast of three high school students and one cat-like creature who together form a group known as the Phantom Thieves, and Atlus has provided new information on each member.

As detailed on the game's official site (via Gematsu), Persona 5's unnamed protagonist (voiced by Jun Fukuyama) is a 16 year-old high school transfer student who serves as the leader of the Phantom Thieves. While "quiet and well-mannered" on the surface, he takes on a very different personality when in disguise.

Next up is Ryuji Sakamoto, who's played by voice actor Mamoru Miyano. Ryuji is the same age as the protagonist and known as a disruptive "problem child" at school whose bad behavior causes all sorts of trouble for the teachers.

PlayStation VR to Be Priced as a ‘New Gaming Platform’

Sony's upcoming virtual reality headset, which is now officially called PlayStation VR, will be priced as a "new gaming platform," according to Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House.

"VR rewrites the rule book on how you can create games," House told Bloomberg in an interview at Tokyo Game Show. "You’re seeing a large amount of interest and work happening among smaller teams, because it’s possible to create something in VR that is very simple but still very magical."

Twilight Children’s Mystery Illuminates the Characters

DC Comics' Vertigo publishing line is putting out 12 new comic series this year. One title is The Twilight Children by writer Gilbert Hernandez and artist Darwyn Cooke, which tells the story of a small coastal town that plays host to a strange phenomenon. Orbs the size of a car suddenly appear at seemingly random places around town, their purpose unknown, only to just as randomly disappear. The orbs have strange powers that affect three little children, not to mention stir up a host of other troubles -- missing people, the appearance of a silent alien woman, and more.

Gotham Stars On New Season 2 Villains and Getting More Serialized

Gotham's second season - under the moniker Gotham: Rise of the Villains - premieres on FOX this coming Monday, September 21st. And with the new season comes, naturally, new faces. Along with a new commitment to supervillains and serialization. Meaning less mob turf wars and GCPD "case of the week" style stories.

I visited the set of Gotham last month on a very busy, overlapping day where production was running for two separate episodes. I'll have more on those specific episodes, along with insight from the stars about those stories, closer to when those chapters air. But for now let's talk Monday's season premiere, "Damned if You Do..."

When we last saw Bruce and Alfred, they'd discovered a hidden passageway in Wayne Manor's den. One likely filled with secrets procured by Thomas Wayne. So where will we find Master Wayne and his trusty butler as Season 2 begins? "They’re aligned in the sense that they both don’t know what’s going on and they’re confused," star David Mazouz told me. "But they’re not totally aligned once they actually find out what’s going on and they need to choose how to proceed. That’s sort of where they disagree."
