Apple’s WatchOS 2 Finally Available
After a slight launch delay, the second version of Apple's watchOS is now available for download.
The updated operating system for Apple's wearable was supposed to be hitting wrists last week, but was delayed due to a bug. When the watchOS 2 bug was discovered, Apple issued a statement saying the OS would suffer a short delay, but it didn't go into detail as to what the issue was.
The update includes new watch faces, a nightstand mode, and a time-travel feature that doesn't actually allow the wearer to loose the bonds of the space-time-continuum and freely move fourth-dimensionally, but instead allows you to see the upcoming weather and events.

Leia's bikini is expected to sell for $80,000 to $120,000 USD during the October 1 auction.
Kickstarter Becomes a Public Benefit Corporation
Kickstarter, the crowdfunding site utilized for Shenmue III and the Veronica Mars movie, has become a public benefit corporation.
That means Kickstarter isn't just focused on profits. Company founder Perry Chen and co-founders Yancey Stickler and Charles Adler issued a statement saying the crowdfunding website also must think about its societal impact.
"Benefit corporations are for-profit companies that are obligated to consider the impact of their decisions on society, not only shareholders," they said. "Radically, positive impact on society becomes part of a benefit corporation’s legally defined goals."
A Visual History of The Transformers in Gaming
Transformers are, at their most basic level, awesome. They're robots that can transform into other things. What's not to love?
The toys appeared on shelves around the same time the video game industry collapsed in the 1980s, but there are still a lot of awesome examples of Transformers video games throughout history. But as was often the case with licensed-games, a lot of the Transformers' appearances in the game world were... not so great. There are a few bright spots in the Transformers' video game history, thankfully.
Take a look at our visual history of transformers in video games:
Graphics do not a good Transformers game make, as can clearly be seen from the history of the franchise. However, the upcoming Transformers: Devastation looks like it could be a winner in the line-up of Transformers games. Developed by Platinum Games, Transformers: Devastation absolutely looks the part of the cartoon series upon which it's based. And that's a good thing.
Whitey’s Camp Slams Johnny Depp’s ‘Gollum’ Portrayal
The new true crime drama Black Mass -- about the FBI's Faustian bargain with Boston gangster-turned-informant James "Whitey" Bulger -- is being taken to task by some of those who knew the mobster, played by in the film by Johnny Depp. These individuals are not fans of the film or Depp's performance, which has been receiving largely positive notices from moviegoers and critics.
(For his part, the incarcerated Bulger refused to meet with Depp or director Scott Cooper and reportedly swears he will never watch the film should it be screened in his prison.)

Team Fortress Halloween Event Will Use Fan Creations
Team Fortress 2 will be showing off the best community creations for this year's Halloween update.
According to the Team Fortress 2 team, "if we produce a holiday-specific event map this year, it means we'll have to stop working on everything else," so it's instead turning to the community for content. The update will be a showcase "of all the best Halloween-themed community content" pulled from the Steam Workshop.
In addition to the community content, the content from the past 6 Halloween updates will also be activated, meaning scary stuff from days of yore will rise from the grave to once again walk among the world of the living.
Dad Plays Drone Dentist, Pulls Son’s Loose Tooth
Tying one end of a string to a doorknob and the other to a loose tooth is so 20th century. Here in the 2000s, advances in technology now allow dads to extract teeth from their precocious children's faces using the power of remote-controlled quadcopters.
One father helped bring the act of tooth-pulling into the modern era, attaching a string to his son's "very loose tooth," with the other attached to a drone. The boy, named Adam, looks positively excited in the video. Did you think even for a second there wouldn't be video?
As you can see, the tooth comes out cleanly using the power of flight, and no kids were harmed in the making of the video. It's a modern update on baby-tooth removal, and its one of roughly a million novel tooth-removal solution videos posted on YouTube right now.
Christie Talks Star Wars and Game of Thrones
Actress Gwendoline Christie, known for her role as Brienne of Tarth in Games of Thrones, recently spoke about her portrayal of Captain Phasma in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the challenges that come with the role.
“I found it to be a really interesting acting challenge, not just because of what I felt this character was representing — and it was just what I felt, and we talked about it a little bit, but it was never like a manifesto, ‘this is what it must be’ — and it was exciting to me to have that weight of responsibility taken away, of having to be a certain way as a woman, to have to be mindful in a way that isn’t always useful," she told Variety. "To have that stripped away was very liberating, and it meant that as an actor I had to focus on other things. I had to focus on what my body was communicating and what exactly my voice is communicating.”
The Winter Soldier Takes Aim at BvS Director
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder isn't making many friends with folks working in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after he talked smack about Ant-Man, calling it "the flavor of the week."
Now actor Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, has come to Marvel's defense, lobbying his own criticisms at Snyder and his DC Comics movies.
"Yeah, I’m sitting here and I’m listening to you and I’m thinking, 'Do I want to fire some shots at DC right now, at Zack Snyder?' I read some of those comments where he said something about Batman and Superman, I can’t remember where I read that, somewhere," Stan told Collider.
