By writer Shaun Simon & artist Michael Allred | Vertigo (DC Comics)

Having already read it, we are safe in saying that this comic is one of the standouts among Vertigo’s new line. Living legend Mike Allred lends his pop-art come-to-life style to a story about Reggie Riot and the Art Operatives, who make it their mission to safeguard famous works of art, even if it means using strange technology to bring Mona Lisa to life so she can escape her frame. It’s weird, inventive, and absolutely gorgeous.

A 103 Year-Old Titanic Cracker Sold for $23,000

A hard-tack biscuit that was originally part of a lifeboat survival kit from the Titanic has sold for £15,000, or around $23,000 USD, at an auction in the UK. The price was around £5,000 more than the 103-year old snack was expected to fetch.

The biscuit, or cracker, depending on which side of the Atlantic you're living, was kept by James Fenwick, a passenger onboard the SS Carpathia, which aided the rescue efforts of the doomed ocean liner.

New Spider-Man Star Was Injured on Civil War Set

Tom Holland, the young actor set to play a 15-year-old Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, shared a few new details on his web-slinging role, including his injury-filled experience on the set of Captain America: Civil War.

"No, no violence. It was my own mistake," the Spider-Man actor told Hey U Guys when asked about the injury. "I basically fell over and bashed my face in front of about two hundred crew members, so not my most heroic moment!

Bethesda Confirms Fallout 4 Preloading

Digital copies of Fallout 4 will preload prior to the game's official release, according to Bethesda.

On Twitter, Bethesda confirmed the preorders will preload on all platforms, meaning you'll be able to download the game to your PC, PS4, or Xbox One prior to release day. Once release day finally arrives, the game will be playable.

Neither the Xbox One nor the PS4 digital storefronts have the size requirements posted yet for the game, but the Fallout 4 size requirement on PC lists a necessary 30 GB of free space. It stands to reason the console versions of the game will come in at roughly the same size, give or take a few gigs.

We (Sort of) Visited Jurassic World in Real Life

I visited Jurassic World in real life.

Obviously, certain important qualifications need to be made to that rather outlandish statement, but let me enjoy it for one moment...

Okay, so I visited the place where a good chunk of the movie was shot – Oahu, the third largest of the Hawaiian islands. While it's been used as a backdrop for several movies – Windtalkers, Godzilla, and You, Me and Dupree – it's unquestionably most cloesly associated with the role of Isla Nublar, which it first played back in the original Jurassic Park.

Following the phenomenal success of Jurassic World, steps are being taken to make the island appeal to fans of the series. In just a few days, I ran through the Gallimimus field, explored the Indominus Rex paddock, and learned why Godzilla's footprints provide the most effective way to catch a cow. (More on that later.)

PayDay 2 Dev Defends Microtransactions

PayDay 2 producer Almir Listo took to reddit to answer questions about the game, and took the opportunity to explain the recently added microtransactions.

"We want to do everything we can to make PayDay 2 as awesome as possible," Listo explained. Improving the game meant Overkill needed to "triple the size of the crew" working on it, and to keep the larger team meant introducing the Black Market update.

The introduction of microtransactions in PayDay 2 with the Black Market update has been met with blowback from the game's community, especially given the fact that when the game was released, developer Overkill promised it wouldn't have microtransactions.

Zombie Match Defense – ($1.99)

With less than a week to go until Halloween hits, let's kick things off today with a fresh zombie game! Zombie Match Defense is a Match-3/Lane Defense game. Yes, that's a really weird mash-up of two very popular genres that don't seem like they would work together. (This game is actually the result of a bet to do just that, but that's a story for another time. The point is, they DO work well together.)

Tri Force Heroes’ Place in Zelda Timeline Revealed

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes is directly connected to Nintendo's other original 3DS Zelda game, A Link Between Worlds.

In an interview with GameSpot, series director Eiji Aonuma revealed that the Link who serves as the hero in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, is the very same Link that players control in Tri Force Heroes.

"Initially, the story starts with the king recruiting hero candidates, and that's where Link steps in," Aonuma explained. "There's a part of me that doesn't want people to come into the game thinking, 'Is he not a hero then? Is he just a candidate?' But I want to reassure people that this Link is the hero that came from the A Link Between Worlds world."
