Digital Content, Pachinko Machines Drive Capcom Sales
Capcom has released its financial results for the first half of its fiscal year, and while net sales are up 22 percent, the company's operating income is down 35 percent compared to last year.
The publisher has seen strong performance in repeat sales and digital downloads for games like Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and Resident Evil Revelations 2. Its pachinko and arcade-centric amusements business has helped bolster sales as well, thanks to the release of its Resident Evil 6 pachislo machine.
Meanwhile, Capcom cites the "higher costs and some sales shortfalls" of its amusements efforts, as well as "slower sales of existing titles" in its PC and mobile divisions, as the reason behind the company's dip in profits.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Recreated in Destiny
The release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens' official trailer has sparked reactions, recreations, and re-imaginings alike, and one Destiny player decided to create their own.
YouTube content creator Sam Goodey paired the audio of The Force Awakens' trailer and scenes from Destiny to create a new interpretation of the film footage released earlier this month. Serving as a half-Star Wars mashup, half Destiny commercial, it uses the audio cues of the trailer to portray different scenes. Check it out below.

More Games Announced For Double Fine’s Day of the Devs
A number of new playable games have been announced for Day of the Devs 2015, an event presented by Double Fine Productions and iam8bit.
New additions to the lineup include Arena Gods, Hob, Jenny LeClue, Line Wobbler, and SuperHyperCube, bringing the total number of playable games over 35. They join an already long list of indie games that gamers will be able to go hands-on with, including Day of the Tentacle: Special Edition.
Additionally, Phil Fish and SCNTFC have announced that they'll be spinning tunes throughout the day alongside Doseone.
Netflix Orders Selena Gomez Series
Netflix has ordered a new series starring Selena Gomez, 13 Reasons Why.
According to The Wrap, Gomez will also executive produce alongside Mandy Teefey, Kristel Laiblin and Anonymous Content.

Kevin Butler, VP of re-igniting the Sony PlayStation brand, made a splash in 2009 as the star of the It Only Does Everything ad campaign.
Not only did he connect with consumers, Butler also arguably became one of the best marketing tools over the past decade in gaming. The middle-aged man made you laugh, drove a monster truck, lived with a golf-crazy family, competed with Major League Baseball stars and even started the Long Live Play campaign.

Boy Convinces Parents to Buy GTA 5 using PowerPoint
In an attempt to convince his parents to buy him Grand Theft Auto V, a 13-year-old boy put together a very professional-looking PowerPoint presentation offering facts, graphs, compromises, and pointed reasons for why he should be able to play Rockstar's open-world game. The post appeared on NeoGAF, along with the information that the boy had created three separate slides for the end of his presentation based on what his parent's response to the presentation was. As far as we can tell, he was successful in his campaign.

AMC Orders Reedus Reality Series About Motorcycle Culture
AMC has ordered six, one-hour episodes of a new reality series starring The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus as he explores motorcycle culture throughout the United States.
Tentatively titled Ride with Norman Reedus, each episode will see Reedus and a riding companion explore custom bike shops, tattoo parlors, and collector’s warehouses in different cities across the country. Companions will range from actors and musicians to friends and other motorcycle enthusiasts.
The series is being produced by Left/Right Productions, and will debut in 2016.

The recent release of the official Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer has evoked strong reactions from a variety of people, from internet fans to the stars themselves.
In a recent video released by Disney, even animated characters from a Pixar film have strong feelings towards the new look at the J.J. Abrams-directed film.
