Constantine on Arrow is This Week’s TV Highlight
While there are a handful of new shows popping up this week - like TNT's Agent X and Netflix's new Aziz Ansari series Master of None - our spotlight pick is going to an already established series that's having a really cool character crossover event.
Well, it'd be an actual honest-to-goodness crossover event if NBC's Constantine was still on the air. But still, this is awesome. Matt Ryan is guesting on Arrow this week as John Constantine. Which works to officially bring that character into The CW's DC TV-verse. Something that could never have happened if Constantine was still on the air. So a bit of a pyrrhic victory here for fans of the NBC series. The show had to burn down in order for Constantine to rise from the ashes and appear on Arrow. But *raises glass* here's to Matt Ryan popping up some more on Arrow in the future. Along with The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
Samus Aran Comes to Life in Metroid Live Action Short Film
Nonprofit production studio Rainfall has created a live action fan film starring the leading character of the Metroid series.
Called Metroid: The Sky Calls, the film is a twelve-minute short following bounty hunter Samus Aran as she explores alien signals picked up in deep space. And yes, you'll see appearances from both the Morph Ball and the Arm Cannon.
According to Rainfall's official post about the film, director Sam Balcomb used a similar style to the Alien films for The Sky Calls' aesthetic. To get its retro look, the film employs "VHS transfers and scanned 16mm film stock."
The Nerdist's Jessica Chobot stars with Halo 5: Guardians' America Young performing motion capture.

Mad Max Director Loves Fury Road Fan Theory
Shortly after Mad Max; Fury Road came out, a fan theory began to circulate online. Tom Hardy's Max wasn't really Max at all – as in Max Rockatansky, the character portrayed by Mel Gibson in the three previous movies.
Here's what Mad Max creator and director George Miller had to say when we told him all about the theory:
If you're unfamiliar with the speculation, it posits that Hardy's Max is actually 'The Feral Kid' from Road Warrior, who has inherited Max's leather jacket and V8 Interceptor. And there's definitely some evidence to support this interpretation:
- Rockatansky gives The Feral Kid a wind-up music box, which is similar to the one we see Hardy's Max have in his possession (it's found by one of Immortan Joe's wives as she pokes about the War Rig).

It’s all over. After weeks of battling it out on the Rift, SK Telecom T1 are your 2015 League of Legends World Champions.

But the upset was not to be. 2015 was simply the year of SK Telecom T1 rising again and proving they were the best in the world.
