Crazy Delinquent Fantasy Land: An Ode to Fallout 3

Fallout 3 is my favourite game of all time. Though, I don’t really think of it as a game so much as an experience, like an epic holiday packed with unique and unexpected pleasures, the memories of which will forever bask in a golden glow. I’m not even sure I’ll play it again - not seriously - not like the first time, ransacking every square foot of the Capital Wasteland, getting drawn into every quest, deliberating over each decision, big and small, for hundreds of hours.

Naturally, then, with the series’ fourth instalment just ‘round the corner, I can’t help being racked with nerves. That perfect holiday? Remember when you tried to recreate it the next year, and it just wasn’t the same? You were different, everyone was different, the weather was different, that place had closed down, or been renovated or attracted a different crowd… All the pieces which went into making your nerves jangle with excitement at waking each day have been altered, and the sequel is like a cake baked with the right ingredients in wrong quantities. A salty brick. O great gaming gods, please don’t let me feel this way about 4!

Star Wars: Theaters Banning Masks and Weapons

Those planning to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens dressed as their favorite character may need to rethink their costume, as several theater chains are limiting what will be allowed during screenings.

Both Cinemark and AMC won't allow you to wear masks, sport face paint, or bring fake weapons. "AMC does not permit weapons or items that would make other guests feel uncomfortable or detract from the movie-going experience," the company announced on its website (via TheWrap).

"Guests are welcome to come dressed in costume, but we do not permit masks," AMC's statement adds. "In short, bring your lightsaber, turn it off during the movie, and leave the blaster and Darth Vader mask at home."

Xbox Elite Controllers in Short Supply Until Next Month

If you're hoping to grab an Xbox Elite Controller, you may have to wait until next month at the earliest. According to Major Nelson, the controller is selling out at retailers worldwide.

As for when the stock of the $150 USD controller might be replenished, Major Nelson warned that "supplies may be limited" until early December. He did say more controllers are arriving each week. The shortage could be a bit of a bummer for anyone hoping to grab one during a Black Friday or Cyber Monday sales event in the US following the Thanksgiving holiday.

The fact that the controller is selling so well even with its high price tag is a testament to how popular and well regarded the controller has become in the short time since it was released. In our Xbox Elite Controller review, we called it the best controller you can buy, saying the device makes a positive impression from the first moment you pick it up.

Nicole Kidman is reportedly up for a role in Wonder Woman.

According to TheWrap, the Oscar winner "is in ongoing negotiations to play a high-ranking Amazonian warrior alongside Gal Gadot."

"While Kidman’s potential role has yet to be confirmed, the Queen of the Amazons in the Wonder Woman comics is Hyppolyta, who also happens to be Diana Prince’s biological mother — though it’s unclear whether the film will remain faithful to that storyline," reports the site.

While some Call of Duty fans look forward to each new game solely for the multiplayer experience, others savor the cinematic storytelling and huge set pieces that make up each each new single player campaign. Dark Horse is targeting the latter group with this new project, which is easily their biggest video game-to-comic acquisition since acquiring the Halo franchise several years ago.

A Visual History of Pizza in Games

Pizza and video games go hand-in-hand, but what about pizza in video games? It's more common than you might think.

Here are some of our favorite examples. We gathered a bunch of these images ourselves, but a special thanks to this hero for doing more video game pizza reconnaissance and supplying some of these images.

Pizza plays a huge role in 1997's Lego Island. I mean, the main character is Pepper Roni, a pizza delivery boy who transports these blocky pies via skateboard to the island's pizza-loving residents.
