Every Trailer and Announcement From the BlizzCon 2015 Keynote

This morning, Blizzard kicked off BlizzCon 2015 with a series of new trailers and announcements across their entire line of games. It's a lot to keep up with but here it is, all in one place, because we love you.

First off was StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void. We've assumed up until now that it would represent the last bit of story-based content for StarCraft 2, but that apparently isn't the case. Bundles of story-based missions will be added over time, and the first one is focused on the fan-favorite Ghost, Nova. Check out the sweet cinematic trailer that came with the announcement below.

Deadly Premonition Dev Swery Taking Break From Game Development

Hidetaka Suehiro, known to his fans as "Swery," has announced his break from game development while he recovers from health issues.

Writing on his personal blog, the Deadly Premonition developer says, "Starting today, I will be taking a short break from game development, in order to focus on recovering from reactive hypoglycemia."

"I'm already slow enough at making games as it is, and I feel like all I ever do is make my fans wait... But I've decided that I need to take a rest here, so that I can hopefully continue to make games in the future."

In true Swery style, he promises that he will do his best to make games that are "better and more awesome than ever before" once he has recovered. His condition, reactive hypoglycemia, is related to blood-sugar levels; IGN wishes him the best of luck in his recovery.

Doctor Strange: Watch Cumberbatch Film a Scene

Principal photography is currently underway in Nepal on Marvel's Doctor Strange.

So far we've seen a flurry of spy pics of Benedict Cumberbatch as a bearded and bedraggled Stephen Strange walking the streets. Now we have some actual footage of Cumberbatch and director Scott Derrickson filming a scene:

If you're unaware of his comic book origin, Strange was an egotistical, prominent neurosurgeon until a car accident left his once-skillful hands nerve-damaged. Destroyed in spirit, Strange travels to the Far East where he learns the ways of magic and finds a new calling as the world's Sorcerer Supreme.

Hearthstone’s New Adventure Arrives Next Week

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft's new adventure was revealed during BlizzCon today. It's called League of Explorers and will launch next Thursday.

The League of Explorers consists of four wings, nine class challenges, new game boards, and of course, new cards. A new mechanic called Discover, available on cards like the Jeweled Scarab, will allow players to pick from three random cards not necessarily a part of their existing deck, but still compatible with it.

When the Elise Starseeker card is played, a spell card called Map to the Golden Monkey is shuffled into your deck. Playing that card shuffles the Golden Monkey minion into your deck, and once the Golden Monkey itself is played, every card in your hand will be replaced with a random legendary minion.

3 New Heroes Revealed for Heroes of the Storm

Three new Heroes and a new map have been revealed for Blizzard's Heroes of the Storm. Tower of Doom is the new Battleground, and the new Heroes are Cho'gal, Lunara, and Greymane.

Cho'gal, one Hero controlled by two players, will be added to selected Battle.net players' accounts, in addition to BlizzCon attendees and Virtual Ticket holders. Those playing online with another Cho'gal player will gain temporary access to the Hero; play two games and you'll earn Cho'gal for yourself; play four games with someone who doesn't have Cho'gal, and you'll earn a bunch of in-game Gold.

Lunara is a highly mobile ranged Hero, and Greymane, of course, can transform into a werewolf.

Blizzard also revealed Arena, a new game mode for Heroes of the Storm, at BlizzCon 2015.

Black Ops 3 PC Version Plagued With Issues at Launch

Call of Duty: Black Ops III released today across an array of different platforms, and it looks like PC gamers are getting the short end of the stick.

Many who picked up the game for Windows are having major issues with Treyarch's new shooter, citing unacceptably low frame rates and in some instances an inability to play the game entirely.

Polygon notes that users have taken to the official Call of Duty forums as well as Steam's Community forums to level their complaints, with several claiming the "game doesn't even start."
