Microsoft Can Tell Your Emotions From a Single Image

Microsoft has designed a webpage that tries to guess your emotions.

The emotion recognition tool aims to identify feelings based on an image. The feelings the tool recognises at the moment are anger, contempt, disgust, fear, happiness, neutral, sadness, surprise, and possibly whether you’re John Connor and need terminating.

In the interests of science, here’s what happens when you put someone’s face into the tool.

DC Movies Will Be a “Hard PG-13,” Says Producer

Warner Bros.' upcoming slate of DC movies will have a "hard PG-13" rating, according to Suicide Squad producer Charles Roven.

"The intention of the film is definitely to be PG-13," Roven told Collider when asked if an R rating was ever considered for Suicide Squad. The producer then elaborated on why, saying the tamer rating is being targeted in order to maintain a level of consistency within the DC Cinematic Universe.

Roven continued: "We really want to make these films tonally consistent so that, as I said because this is a shared universe, at least our current thinking—and again, we’re not dealing in absolutes because while this is business it’s also a creative endeavor, so you want to leave yourself open to changing your mind, doing something different, being inspired, that’s the whole process of filmmaking is you have to allow for inspiration as well as having a road map for what you’re gonna do.

Wii U Sales Way Up, Amiibo Sales at 800,000 for October

While Nintendo's Wii U didn't come out on top of sales for the month of October, the company did announce that sales of amiibo cards and figures came in at 800,000 for the month of October alone. That puts lifetime amiibo sales for the US alone at 9 million.

The Wii U console also saw an increase in sales of 40% over last October. According to Nintendo, sales "have increased more than 20 percent in the first 10 months of 2015," compared to the same time period last year.

This jump in sales is no doubt being driven by Super Mario Maker bundles. In fact, according to the NPD Group, if software had been ranked on a SKU-basis, "NWU Super Mario Maker would rank in the top 10" in software numbers for the month.
