Disneyland’s New Star Wars Additions Are Awesome

Beginning Monday, November 16th, visitors to Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, will find a huge new Star Wars presence at the park. That’s the day Disneyland kicks off their new Season of the Force event, with the debut of several new Star Wars-themed areas and elements.

I attended a preview night for Season of the Force and found it to be, ahem, most impressive. Essentially, Tomorrowland has become absolutely dominated by Star Wars during Season of the Force, leaving only a handful of attractions like Autopia, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters not looking like they come from a galaxy far, far away.

Even the walls bordering the entrance of Tomorrowland immediately set the scene, as you can see...

Prometheus Sequel May Now Be Titled…

Ridley Scott's upcoming sequel to Prometheus has reportedly been retitled Alien: Covenant.

The film, which last we heard was officially titled Alien: Paradise Lost, was recently discussed by Scott at the AFI Film Festival (via Indiewire). Instead of calling the movie Alien: Paradise Lost in his discussion, however, the director casually referred to the film by a new name, Alien: Covenant.

"I’ve got no plan. I go from pillar to post randomly," Scott said of his project schedule, going on to explain how the opportunity to work on The Martian sidetracked him from moving forward on Alien: Covenant.

ABC Cancels Wicked City

ABC has canceled Wicked City after three underwhelming episodes.

According to TheWrap, the show is being pulled from the network immediately, and reruns of Shark Tank will be taking its place next week. This marks the first true cancelation of the fall season.

While several other shows like Minority Report, Blood & Oil, and The Player have all had their episode counts trimmed below the initial 13 and likely won't return, their remaining episodes will at least still air on television. The same, however, can't be said for ABC's short-lived drama starring Ed Westwick and Erika Christensen.

Norman Reedus ‘Has Faith’ in Future Kojima, del Toro Projects

The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus, who would have been the star in Konami's now-canceled Silent Hills, recently spoke to IGN about his faith in a future collaboration between him and P.T. creators Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro.

"I'm super bummed that that happened back in Japan," Reedus said of Silent Hills' cancellation, "but I have faith. I have faith that we, the three of us, can do something else."

Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro had similar laments about Silent Hills, especially over the loss of what he calls some great and "very new" ideas. Reedus matched del Toro's praise for the creative force behind Silent Hills, calling him and Kojima "geniuses."

Spend the Night in a Star Wars Superfan’s Home

We'll never be able to actually visit the galaxy far, far away, but a UK man's home may be the next best thing.

46-year-old Dave Oldbury has spent the better part of his life tracking down various items of Star Wars memorabilia and merchandise, and has created an impressive shrine-like home to showcase it.

Containing approximately $228,196 (£150,000) worth of items, Oldbury's dwelling serves as a homage to the film series he has loved since he was a boy.

In order to share his love of Star Wars, he's opened this home up and is allowing the public to spend the night in December amidst his vast collection for a mere $51 (£35) per night.  According to his Homestay listing, he only has a few rules for potential guests to follow:
