Vertigo Reveals New Horror Series The Dark and Bloody
Writer Shawn Aldridge (Vic Boone) and artist Scott Godlewski (Copperhead) will be debuting an all-new horror comic in early 2016.
Called The Dark and Bloody, the series takes place in a dry county in backwoods Kentucky. Seeking employment, a returned Iraq war vet named Iris Gentry turns to running moonshine with a former ranking officer while avoiding a dangerous, otherworldly presence threatening their lives.
"The inspiration came from my own childhood in Kentucky, local folklore like the Bell Witch, and Southern Gothic fiction," writer Shawn Aldridge said in a statement.
These LEGO Slippers Will Lessen the Pain of Stepping on LEGO Pieces
We all know the pain of stepping on a stray LEGO piece with bare feet. Luckily, LEGO has now commissioned a pair of padded anti-LEGO slippers that will considerably lessen the pain the next time you trod on one of its blocks.
The red-and-yellow slippers, which bear the LEGO logo over the toes, feature a heavily padded insole to cushion your feet. The slippers are rectangular so that they can fit onto left or right feet, reducing fumbling to put them on if you need to brave a LEGO-dotted hallway to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

“It’s a-me! Mario!”
Mario has been obsessively hoarding coins for three decades, across more than 19 major Super Mario games. Even in Super Mario Galaxy, the Lumas insist on being paid in Star Bits, letting Mario keep all those sweet, sweet golden coins for himself.
Darth Vader in Video Games: A Visual History
Darth Vader is a bad dude, and his badness is almost unmatched. He personally gave the order to blow up an entire planet, and even before he broke bad, he was a constant thorn in the side of his master Obi-Wan and the entire Jedi council. While most Star Wars games focus on the exploits of Luke or some other characters who aren't bursting with bad intentions, sometimes Vader gets to take center stage. Playable or not, when Vader is around, you can almost guarantee there's going to be a whole lot of chokin' going down. Here is a look back at Darth Vader in his many appearances in the world of video games.
Playable or not, there's no denying the awesome draw of Darth Vader as a villain in gaming. The communication channels are open, so get the conversation going in the comments.
The Force Awakens: First Look at Constable Zuvio
Constable Zuvio, a new alien character set to appear in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, has been revealed.
Empire Online has our first look at the "tough and humorless" character, who, according to Lucasfilm, is a "vigilant law officer on a mostly lawless world," tasked with maintaining "order in a frontier trading post."
Neither Disney nor Lucasfilm have offered any additional information on this new alien character, though based on the sandy backdrop of the photo, Constable Zuvio could very well habit the planet of Jakku. The actor playing the character has yet to be revealed as well.
Vin Diesel: Fast and Furious Spin-Offs In the Works
There may be more than numbered sequels in the Fast and Furious franchise's future.
Speaking with Variety, actor Vin Diesel revealed that the creative team behind the action films has been working on a similar expanded universe model to Star Wars and the Avengers by creating side stories and spin-offs that could potentially be used to supplement the core films.
“We’ve written out story lines for various characters,” said Diesel. “We’ve been playing with it for a long time. It’s a very rich property and we’re committed to treating it with a lot of class.”
No further details surrounding the plot or characters in these potential stories have been released.

The Walking Dead: 4 Theories on the Walkie Talkie Mystery
Warning: Spoilers for The Walking Dead's latest episode, "Always Accountable," continue below.
The Walking Dead dropped a new cliffhanger at the end of its latest episode, this one leaving viewers wondering who is the person asking for "help" on the other end of Daryl's walkie talkie. Tim Cook Says No Mac/iPad Hybrid Planned
Apple CEO Tim Cook has denied the idea that his company has plans to create a hybrid device that would merge the Mac and iPad.
Speaking to the Independent, Cook stated that such hardware would compromise Apple's goal to make the best personal computer, as well as the best tablet.
"We feel strongly that customers are not really looking for a converged Mac and iPad," he said. "Because what that would wind up doing, or what we’re worried would happen, is that neither experience would be as good as the customer wants. So we want to make the best tablet in the world and the best Mac in the world. And putting those two together would not achieve either. You’d begin to compromise in different ways."

Marvel’s first Star Wars crossover is here! The story will show what happens when Darth Vader crashes on a remote planet and the Rebels decide to throw all their might at him in an attempt to finally kill the Emperor's top enforcer. If that doesn’t give you nerd-chills down your spine then nothing will. It’s Darth Vader in the worst pinch in his life, forced to take on the entire Rebel Alliance in order to survive, with Luke, Han, Leia, the droids, and (our favorite) Aphra all getting in on the action. Marvel has been delivering nothing but winners with their Star Wars comics, giving us all the action we desire and all the emotional gut-punches we never knew we wanted, so we expect this to be one heck of a story.
