Kinberg: Legion to Be “Breaking Bad” of Superhero Shows

Producer Simon Kinberg has provided an update on the two upcoming X-Men shows, Legion and Hellfire, and went as far as to compare Legion to AMC's Breaking Bad.

"What I’m seeing on Legion with

Noah

and FX is an intent to do something completely original in the genre, in some ways to sort of blow up the paradigm of comic book or superhero stories and almost do our Breaking Bad of superhero stories," Kinberg told Collider.

The producer also spoke to the benefit of expanding X-Men to television, adding: “I mean the thing that’s cool and that’s the hope in branching out to TV is that we can tell these X-Men stories in a slightly different way and even with a slightly different tone. It’s one of the thing we’re kind of doing in the different movie franchises."

LOTR’s Philippa Boyens to Bring The Merlin Saga to the Screen

The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movie scribe Philippa Boyens is set to pen an adaptation of T.A. Barron's The Merlin Saga for Disney.

Considering her pedigree, Boyens is a good fit to launch the saga, which Disney is hoping to spin into a Harry Potter-style blockbuster franchise.

Barron's Merlin saga began in 1996  and spans five books, focusing on the wizard as a boy after he finds himself in Wales with no idea who he is or his history. The books follow his journey as he tries to find answers. Barron himself appears to be quite involved with the series, and on his personal website wrote he was "very excited about what lies ahead".

Frank Miller Says He’s Returning for The Dark Knight 4

In an interview with Newsarama, Frank Miller said that he will be doing a fourth installment of The Dark Knight saga after The Dark Knight III: The Master Race.

It should be noted that DC Comics has made no official announcement, and DC declined to comment on Miller's claim when we reached out to them.

The Master Race, out November 25, has been marketed as the third and "final" chapter in the Dark Knight series, but Miller said the fourth volume will now be the end of the saga. Miller also said he will be writing the comic solo, as opposed to bringing on co-writer Brian Azzarello like with The Master Race.

Former Bond Star Pierce Brosnan Pans SPECTRE

Former 007 star Pierce Brosnan isn't particularly fond of the current James Bond blockbuster, SPECTRE.

“I was looking forward to it enormously,” Brosnan told Hitfix. “I thought it was too long. The story was kind of weak — it could have been condensed. It kind of went on too long. It really did.”

Brosnan -- who played Bond for seven years, starting with 1995's GoldenEye and ending with 2002's Die Another Day -- said, “

is neither fish nor fowl. It’s neither Bond nor Bourne. Am I in a Bond movie? Not in a Bond movie?”

The former 007's pan of SPECTRE, however, shouldn't be deemed as a slight towards current star, Daniel Craig.

New Photos of Official Apple Watch Dock Emerge

Several photos claiming to show an Apple-made Apple Watch charging dock have been posted today, hinting at the idea that the company may be preparing to reveal, or launch, the product soon.

As of right now, Apple doesn't sell a charging dock for its smartwatch, requiring owners to look for "unofficial" products to keep their watches charged for everyday use.

The images, posted by grobgebloggt.de, show both the packaging and the dock itself, which features a circular design containing a built-in magnetic charging puck. The white dock uses a Lightning cable to provide power and, presumably, charge the Apple Watch, which can be charged when laid flat on its back or stood upright and charged in Nightstand Mode - a feature added in watchOS 2.
