Star Wars: George Lucas Wasn’t OK Making “Something for the Fans”
Following his recent comments explaining why he'll never return to direct another Star Wars film, George Lucas has come forward to shed a bit more light on why he decided to leave the franchise.
"The issue was ultimately, they looked at the stories and they said, 'We want to make something for the fans,'" Lucas told CBS News. "People don't actually realize it's actually a soap opera and it's all about family problems - it's not about spaceships.
7 Console Games That Are Actually Awesome on Mobile
It isn't always pretty when a huge game franchise tries to go mobile. All too often, poorly thought out touch controls and shady in-app purchases ruin the experience. But there are a few developers that truly get mobile, and understand how to use Android and iOS as an opportunity to do something fresh, new, and fun with their biggest characters.
These are 6 Games That Successfully Transitioned from Console to Mobile.
Kicking off our list is a Hitman game that succeeds by being unlike any Hitman game before. You'd think that would disqualify it from this discussion, but instead it makes an important statement: console games aren't always going to work exactly as-is when shifted into the mobile, so it's more important to capture the look and feel of the franchise and alter the gameplay to something that works better on a buttonless device.

Take-Two Explains Why GTA Isn’t a Yearly Thing
Take-Two Interactive has revealed why its top-selling franchises like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption don't see new installments every year, highlighting the importance of maintaining a high level of anticipation and consumer demand.
"The market asks us, 'Why don’t you annualize your titles?'" Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said at the MKM Partners Investor Day (via Gamespot). "We think with the non-sports titles, we are better served to create anticipation and demand. On the one hand to rest the title, and on the other hand to have the highest quality in the market, which takes time. You can’t do that annually."
Telltale Confirms Season 2 of Game of Thrones
Telltale Games has confirmed there will be a second season to its Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series game.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner said choices made in the first season of the game will carry over to the second season, something he says Telltale has been planning "all along."
"I really shouldn't be revealing more than that," Bruner added.
Bruner likened the development process of development to working on a television program, saying Telltale's games spend much of their pre-production time as ideas on whiteboards and sticky-notes. As for how along in the process the second season is, Bruner said Telltale can't say "exactly how far along," it is, but he did say "there's never a shortage of sticky notes on the walls" around the Telltale studio.

Ralph McQuarrie’s Boba Fett Gets New Statue From Sideshow
Sideshow is bringing out a Boba Fett statue based on Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back illustrator Ralph McQuarrie's vision.
This particular version of Boba Fett won't look how we've come to expect, but it was the original idea for the character. Boba Fett was supposed to be a "super" Stormtrooper, but evolved over time into the fearsome bounty hunter.
Boba Fett has been made by Jeronimo Argerich, Simon Garcia, Chadwick Andersen, Bernardo Esquivel, and the Sideshow Design and Development Team.
The Sideshow exclusive edition also features a swap out helmet design with Fett's T-shaped visor. Both this and the regular version will cost $430, and pre-orders are open now.

Earlier this year we also got a look at some of the concept art from George Miller's cancelled Justice League movie, which showed off the likes of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and the Martian Manhunter.
