Afro Samurai 2 Pulled From PSN and Steam, Publisher Apologizes
Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma has been removed from Steam and the PlayStation store. Details on its removal had been very scarce, until now.
According to General Manager of Versus Evil, Steve Escalante, the game has been pulled and cancelled in its entirety due to the fact that people didn’t like it. During the Montreal international Gaming Summit, Escalante addressed the matter, telling CGMag Online "the game was a failure."
Versus Evil is currently working with Sony’s marketplace to refund everyone who’s purchased the game.
Afro Samurai 2 released volume 1 on PC and PS4 in September, and on Xbox in October. Two additional volumes were planned for future releases, but Escalante said Versus Evil "could not do, in good conscience, volume 2 and volume 3."

Mockingjay Director Offers Hunger Games Prequel Idea
Katniss Everdeen's story may be coming to a close in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2, but that doesn't mean the world of Panem doesn't have any other stories left to tell.
Speaking with EW, director Francis Lawrence shared his idea of a possible prequel, expressing his interest in seeing that world before it crumbled into a dystopian state.
"“The interesting part of the story for me is to go back 75 years earlier and see how everything became the way it is,” Lawrence said.
“I’m sure if
Suzanne
were to get inspired and decide there’s another story that’s important for her to tell that exists within the world of Panem and whether about the Dark Days, another character, or another set of Games, whatever that could be, I’m sure it would be great. And I’d love to be involved, absolutely.”

"I was skeptical when I came in," Hennig told VentureBeat in an interview. "'How good could this be? It’s the biggest IP in the world. It’s Lucasfilm and Disney and Electronic Arts.'
