Han Solo is Giving Away Tickets to Force Awakens Prem

Harrison Ford has launched a competition that’s giving Star Wars fans the chance to attend the premiere of The Force Awakens.

The filmmakers have teamed up with charity Omaze to give away two grand prizes of four tickets to meet the cast and walk the red carpet in London or Los Angeles, with flights and hotel stay included.

Every $10 entry supports 15 different charities nominated by the cast, with Star Wars t-shirts, posters and a life-size Stormtrooper suit also being given away.

What’s New for DC Comics in February?

DC released their full lineup of solicitations for February 2015 this week. Look for several big projects to debut that month, including Neal Adams' The Coming of the Supermen and the long-awaited Wonder Woman: Earth One graphc novel. Meanwhile, it looks like a number of running storylines are gearing up for big finales in March.

Shaun of the Dead Director to Helm First Animated Movie

Edgar Wright, the director behind Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, will be making his first animated feature film for DreamWorks Animation.

According the TheWrap, Wright is co-writing the project with author and comedian David Walliams. The movie will explore the idea of shadows. While DreamWorks has been working on a project called Me & My Shadow, sources claim Wright's movie will take an "entirely new approach to that concept."

"Edgar will spearhead a new approach to this fascinating concept and we’re ecstatic to have him onboard as director along with David as co-writer," DWA co-presidents Bonnie Arnold and Mireille Soria said in a statement.

Apple Offers Temporary Solution for iPad Pro Screen Blackouts

Apple has provided a temporary fix to those that are experiencing screen blackouts when using their iPad Pro.

The issue itself has been known since the launch of the iPad Pro last week, and numerous complaints from owners can be found on Apple's official support forums. Everyone reports the hardware becomes unresponsive after/during charging, and the screen remains black.

Apple posted a solution for the problem earlier today, and it's basically the way people have been dealing with it prior to now: press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time, for at least ten seconds. This will prompt a forced restart, and soon after the iPad Pro will work as intended.

There Are Over 100 Million iPhones in Use in the U.S.

A new report from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners has revealed that over 100 million of Apple's iPhones are in use in the United States.

CIRP's report, which came out earlier today, states that, of the estimated 101 million iPhones in the country, 58 million are iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models, while the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus make up an additional 4 million. Combined, nearly two-thirds of iPhone owners are utilizing an iPhone 6 or newer.

Expect Fallout 4’s First Patch as Soon as ‘Next Week’

The first Fallout 4 patch is just around the corner. Bethesda will release a beta version of the patch on Steam as early as next week, followed by an official release on PC. Consoles will follow sometime later.

"It's true that the freedom our games offer you can lead to unintentional consequences that are sometimes bad, when the game combines too many unexpected elements at once," Bethesda explained on its website.

Bethesda added that Fallout 4 is its "most robust and solid release ever," despite its issues. The game reportedly sold 1.8 million digital copies in its first three days, so at least some buyers likely agree. Our review of Fallout 4 also made mention of the bugs, but noted that they don't detract from what is a spectacular game overall.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 Coming to Steam Coming to PC Next Month

Square Enix announced that the concluding chapter of Final Fantasy XIII, Lightning Returns, is launching on PC on December 10, 2015.

The last entry in this trilogy brings free character customization, as well as letting you play as a legendary warrior Lightning. Customizations to Lightning change more than just aesthetics, as the different outfits and weapons also affect abilities.

Dragon Quest Heroes Coming to PC Next Month

Square Enix has announced Dragon Quest Heroes Slime Edition is coming to PC next month.

The action RPG from the makers of the Dynasty Warriors series will release on December 3 and include thirteen PlayStation 4 DLC items and maps, according to the official Dragon Quest Twitter account. It is available for pre-order now on Steam.

Riz Ahmed’s Rogue One Character Name Revealed

Rogue One actor Riz Ahmed will play Bohdi Rook in Disney and Lucasfilms' first Star Wars Anthology movie.

This news comes by way of Ahmed's agency webpage, which outs the character's identity ahead of a formal announcement from the studio. Ahmed, who was seen last year in Nightcrawler, will also play a CIA tech specialist in Bourne 5.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set before the events of Episode IV, and, according to Lucasfilm. "tells the story of resistance fighters who have united to steal plans to the dreaded Death Star."
