Mockingjay Director Offers Hunger Games Prequel Idea

Katniss Everdeen's story may be coming to a close in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2, but that doesn't mean the world of Panem doesn't have any other stories left to tell.

Speaking with EW, director Francis Lawrence shared his idea of a possible prequel, expressing his interest in seeing that world before it crumbled into a dystopian state.

"“The interesting part of the story for me is to go back 75 years earlier and see how everything became the way it is,” Lawrence said.

“I’m sure if

Suzanne

were to get inspired and decide there’s another story that’s important for her to tell that exists within the world of Panem and whether about the Dark Days, another character, or another set of Games, whatever that could be, I’m sure it would be great. And I’d love to be involved, absolutely.”

"I was skeptical when I came in," Hennig told VentureBeat in an interview. "'How good could this be? It’s the biggest IP in the world. It’s Lucasfilm and Disney and Electronic Arts.'

7 Console Games That Are Actually Awesome on Mobile

It isn't always pretty when a huge game franchise tries to go mobile. All too often, poorly thought out touch controls and shady in-app purchases ruin the experience. But there are a few developers that truly get mobile, and understand how to use Android and iOS as an opportunity to do something fresh, new, and fun with their biggest characters.

These are 6 Games That Successfully Transitioned from Console to Mobile.

HitmanGO

Kicking off our list is a Hitman game that succeeds by being unlike any Hitman game before. You'd think that would disqualify it from this discussion, but instead it makes an important statement: console games aren't always going to work exactly as-is when shifted into the mobile, so it's more important to capture the look and feel of the franchise and alter the gameplay to something that works better on a buttonless device.
