Bloodborne Servers Taken Down for ‘Emergency Maintenance’
If you've logged into Bloodborne in the past day or so you may have noticed that the game's online component is down for the count.
The game's official Japanese Twitter account linked to a post explaining that this downtime is intentional.
"We are currently conducting emergency maintenance on the game servers," the post reads. "The maintenance should be complete within a few days. We will update you again once the maintenance ends."
This comes just one week after the launch of the game's first (and apparently last) DLC, The Old Hunters. Speculation on Kotaku has it that the expansion and the downtime might be related.

Rambo: New Blood, a new television series based on Sylvester Stallone's iconic film franchise, is headed to Fox.
According to Deadline, the network closed a deal to develop the project "after lengthy negotiations." Stallone is on board to executive produce, but whether or not he will be starring in the show as well remains unconfirmed, as the outlet has heard conflicting reports on the matter.
BioShock, Borderlands Coming to PlayStation Now
Take-Two Interactive is bringing popular franchises BioShock and Borderlands to PlayStation Now.
The original BioShock, BioShock 2, Borderlands, and Borderlands 2 are all coming to the cloud-based streaming platform starting today. BioShock Infinite is already available to play.
For those unfamiliar, PlayStation Now allows players to stream games without a download. The service supports a subscription model or a la carte game rentals for 4 hour, 7 day, 30 day, and 90 day intervals and is available for use on PlayStation 3, PS4, PS Vita, PlayStation TV, and other select TVs.
Last month, Sony added over 100 new titles to PS Now, which included titles from the Resident Evil and Street Fighter franchises as well as indie titles like Joe Danger 2: The Movie. For a larger list of games on the platform, check out PlayStation Now's wiki.
Force Awakens Will Have Cantina Music
When composer John Williams opted out of writing the cantina music for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, J.J. Abrams enlisted Hamilton composer Lin-Manuel Miranda for the job.
On last night's episode of Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Abrams told the story of how Miranda got involved. It started at Hamilton's intermission, where Abrams was seeing the show with his son, when Miranda approached Abrams and joked that he'd be interested in writing the music for the movie's cantina scene. Watch him tell the full story below.
Abrams reached out to him later—and Miranda said he'd "drop everything" for it. "We've never discussed this before, and
Here’s When You Can Download the Second Episode of King’s Quest
You can download the second episode of Activision's King's Quest reboot starting on December 15.
The news comes alongside a terse new trailer. The description of which offers a good deal more insight into the state of affairs in episode two.
"When a mischievous horde of goblins takes his kingdom hostage, a newly crowned & woefully unprepared Graham must rise up to free his people & prove himself the leader he was destined to become," it reads.
Graham's new title implies that this installment, titled Rubble Without a Cause, will jump a good deal past the events of the first. Our King's Quest episode one review was quite positive, so we're happy to see the story pushing forward.

Starcraft Esports Legend ‘Flash’ Retires at 23
Lee “Flash” Young-ho has retired from eSports at the age of 23.
The Korean StarCraft player, nicknamed “God,” was signed to the biggest Korean eSports organisation in 2007 at the age of 14.
In an interview with Korean eSports site PGR21 (as reported by MCV), Flash offered the following statement to the site.
"As a pro gamer, I’ve got so much more than I deserve,” says Flash. “It’s been a long 8 years, and I won’t forget the love that my fans gave me. From now on, I’d like to travel or rest a while, thinking about the future. However, I would say I won’t put down my keyboard and mouse."
iZombie: Could Liv’s Enemies Unite?
Recently, I visited the Vancouver set of iZombie where I sat down with the show's star, Rose McIver, to chat about the many plotlines swirling around Liv and her friends these days. McIver discussed the show's growing list of bad guys, the continually complicated situation with Major, her oh-so untrustworthy roommate (and Max Rager spy), Gilda, and more.
IGN: We’ve met Mr. Boss. You’ve got him in play and you have these three villains now - You’ve got Blaine still and you’ve got Vaughn Du Clark. Will those start to come together a bit; the fact that there are these different threats out there for her?
Rose McIver: I think the thing about those three villains and most villains in general is that they’re pretty self serving. It’s unusual for them to form an alliance. There’s a little bit of overlap in some of the story but they’re definitely three people who are looking out for themselves.
