Pegg Talks Pressure of Writing Star Trek 3
Star Trek Beyond co-writer (and co-star!) Simon Pegg recently shared his experience in crafting the film, saying "it was fantastic fun," despite the pressures put on the team to deliver.
"It was emotional highs and lows all the way because we were under a lot of pressure, because the timeframe was a lot smaller than it would normally be," Pegg told ComingSoon.net.
"You write a film of that size, you usually get a year or so, but I think we started maybe six months before we went into production, if that," he continued, highlighting the time constraints as a major hurdle the team needed to overcome. "Just under six months and we were already in pre-production, which meant that things had to be designed and set pieces had to be created and the pressure on us to deliver was extraordinary."

Since LEGO Marvel's Avengers focuses on Earth's mightiest heroes and adapts the films in which those characters feature prominently, we asked the game's assistant director, Stephen Sharples, about the possibility of Captain America: Civil War DLC coming down the line.
"Stay tuned, I guess," he told IGN. "Obviously we’ve now got on record we’ve done a season pass previously with DLC. But at this point we’re still focussing on the main game, putting the finishing touches on it, and we just want to get the main game out there and make it as good as it can.
"As for anything in the future, you can never say never at this point in time."
Sounds like Civil War DLC could be on the cards. LEGO Marvel's Avengers is due out on January 26th in the US and January 28th, 2016.

Crystal Pepsi, the disconcertingly transparent cola beverage, is officially back as part of the Pepsi pantheon of products.
The company made the announcement via its official YouTube channel, but it also employed the help of Crystal Pepsi superfan Kevin Stralhe, better known as the L.A. Beast.
Stralhe has been after PepsiCo for some time to revive its clear beverage. He took his super-fandom so far as to use online auction sites to order bottles from the original run in the early '90s to quench his Crystal Pepsi thirst. Bethesda Opens New Games Studio
Bethesda Game Studios is opening a new office in Montreal, Quebec. The new studio is intended to expand Bethesda's current development capabilities in "console, PC, and mobile gaming."
Todd Howard, Bethesda Game Studio's executive producer, said Bethesda has worked with "very talented developers" in Montreal for quite some time, and the company "decided it was time to open a studio there."
The studio will be managed by Yves Lachance. Lachance worked with Behavior Interactive, the studio behind the iOS and Android versions of Fallout tie-in Fallout Shelter.
Lachance said he is "thrilled" to be opening an office in Montreal and "contributing our city’s great game-making talent" to help develop future Bethesda games.
Legends Coming to myClub in PES 2016
Konami has announced that it will be adding "Legend" players to Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 as part of its myClub expansion plans.
For a one week period beginning December 17, you'll be able to get the likes of Roberto Baggio, Filippo Inzaghi, Oliver Kahn, Roberto Carlos, and Luis Figo for your myClub roster.
MyClub is the mode in PES 2016 where you assemble a squad made up of players from around the world.
These players will also be available for those playing the new free-to-play version of PES 2016, which launched today. In IGN's review of PES 2016, we said that "small but crucial improvements make PES 2016 a thrilling game of football."
Final Smash Bros Direct Coming Next Week
Nintendo has revealed the final video presentation for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U will be coming next week.
This final Nintendo Direct for Smash Bros. will be aired on Tuesday, December 15 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm GMT on the official Nintendo Direct website.
Nintendo says that series creator "Masahiro Sakurai will provide details about Cloud and more in this worldwide broadcast."
Back in November it was announced that Final Fantasy VII's Cloud would be joining the Smash Bros. roster.
