Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India and Russia Get Release Dates
The second and third installments of Assassins Creed: Chronicles have release dates. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India is set for January 12 while Chronicles: Russia releases February 9.
Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India and Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia will follow members of the Assassin Brotherhood in their respective nations on the hunt for ancient artifacts. While that sounds typical of most games in the series, the Assassin's Creed Chronicles trilogy stands aside as a set of side-scrolling platformers.
Along with the third chapter of the trilogy Ubisoft will also launch a bundle featuring the Indian, Russian, and Chinese installments for $30. The games can also be bought separately for $10 apiece on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Sony has revealed the extent of the company's success during Black Friday 2015.
In an interview with the Financial Times as reported by the Financial Review, Andrew House, president and global chief executive of Sony, said that Black Friday 2015 was "the most successful" in company history. He added that Sony is trying to "benchmark against the success" of the PlayStation 2, and if possible, "exceed it."
Whether the PlayStation 4 is actually able to exceed PS2 sales remains to be seen. House was hesitant to predict the feat, stating that consumers expect quicker innovation within the industry compared to when the PS2 was on the market.

Lionsgate Looking to Develop Hunger Games Prequels
The Hunger Games series may not be ending with four films after all, as Lionsgate is exploring the possibility of making prequel films.
During today's UBS Global Media and Communications Conference in New York (via Variety), Lionsgate Vice Chairman Michael Burns expressed interest in creating additional movies, saying the franchise "will live on and on."
According to Burns, younger fans missed the arena-centric nature of the first two films when the series shifted its focus in the two-part Mockingjay finale. As such, the studio sees a lot of potential in exploring the events before the first movie. "If we went backwards there obviously would be arenas," he explained.
Force Awakens: Captain Phasma Was Originally a Man
Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Captain Phasma was originally written as a man, and actress Gwendoline Christie had no idea.
Speaking with Vulture, Christie was surprised to hear that her role as Captain Phasma was intended to go in a very different direction. When the film was first announced, a notable image of the cast and director was released with a notable lack of females in new roles. Allegedly, around the time of the image surfacing and comments the image director J.J. Abrams and co-writer Lawrence Kasdan, who came onboard to write The Force Awakens after the original Michael Arndt script was scrapped, decided to make a major change regarding Captain Phasma.
Final Fantasy 6 Is Coming to Steam Next Week
Final Fantasy VI is coming to PC for the first time ever.
A listing for the game has appeared on Steam, which promises to release on December 16. The page's description references "painstakingly recreated" graphics. This, along with the screenshots, hint that this is actually a version of the Final Fantasy VI mobile port from early 2014.
This would track with the release of Final Fantasy V on Steam in September, which was also a port of the iOS and Android version. The reveal also follows the first-ever footage of Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII remake.
In Bound, God of War Devs Trade Ultra-Violence for Emotion
Bound is an upcoming narrative driven adventure game that channels various movements and styles from modern art. The creators of this peculiar title plan to combine their respective talents for over-the-top and strange visuals into making an emotional high-art fantasy adventure, and after my brief time with the game, I was pleasantly surprised and even a bit touched by what they’ve crafted.
Set in a surreal and abstract kingdom ruled by a benevolent Queen, she tasks the Princess with defeating a powerful monster that is ravaging the land. As the Princess journeys through this bizarre world that seems to resonate under her feet, she soon realizes that things may not be what they appear, and that both the monster and the world she inhabits may have more ties to her than she may realize.
Nintendo Keeping Linkle In Mind for Future Zelda Games
Linkle could appear in another Legend of Zelda game outside of Hyrule Warriors, according to Nintendo producer Eiji Aonuma.
We asked Aonuma what larger implications Linkle could have for the iconic adventure series. “I'm sure we will keep her in mind when thinking about future titles,” he told IGN in an email interview.
Linkle was revealed as a playable character coming to Hyrule Warriors Legends, the upcoming 3DS installment of Nintendo’s Zelda action spinoff. She can also be unlocked in the Wii U version. The latest trailer as of this writing shows her wielding dual crossbows on the battlefield.
“I had a chance to give feedback on Linkle during development, but the satisfying action of using a crossbow, which we developed for the spinoff title Link's Crossbow Training, was implemented this time completely by Koei Tecmo,” Aonuma said.
