Roddy Piper, Trish Stratus Coming to WWE 2K16
WWE 2K16's Legends Pack is available now and brings six new playable characters to the roster, 2K Games has announced.
Included in the pack are WWE Hall of Famers Dusty Rhodes, Lita, Mr. Perfect, Roddy Piper, and Trish Stratus, as well as WWE Legend Big Boss Man. You can watch the characters in action in the trailer below.
The Legends Pack will be available on PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One for $9 or as part of the WWE 2K16 Season Pass for $25.
Also available for standalone purchase today is WWE Hall of Famer Arnold Schwarzenegger, playable as T-800 from the Terminator film franchise. The two-character pack is available for $5 or for free for those who pre-ordered the game. Schwarzenegger sat down with IGN earlier this year to discuss T-800 coming to WWE 2K16.
Yokai Watch Movie Outperforms Force Awakens in Japan
While Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been breaking records left and right, the film was no match for the selling power of Yo-Kai Watch in Japan.
According to Yahoo! Movies (via Kotaku), Yo-Kai Watch the Movie 2: King Enma and the 5 Stories, Nyan! was the number one movie in Japan over the weekend, selling 975,000 tickets. Meanwhile, J.J. Abrams' space epic placed second with 800,000 tickets sold.
Deus Ex Concept Art Shows Adam Jensen’s Apartment
Square Enix has released new concept art images from Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. As a holiday gift from the Deus Ex team, the images show the inside of the game's of Adam Jenson's apartment. Check out the images below.
His apartment has a darker, more gothic feel, with much of the light streaming in from the windows. The company notes that Jensen's apartment is "once again inspired by the cyber resistance, although darker than it was in Human Revolution." These two images "are only the tip of the iceberg," the post reads, "and there will be a lot more details to find in
apartment."
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided continues the story from Human Revolution, though it is the first game in the Deus Ex: Universe project. The game was originally set to release on February 23, 2016, but was pushed to August 23 as to not "compromise on quality." It'll be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Arkham Knight December Update Detailed, Out Now
Warner Bros. has announced the details on the final DLC coming to the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass.
The Season of Infamy: Most Wanted Expansion is available now for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One and includes four new separate story missions, featuring returning villains.
Wonderland pits Batman in a hallucinatory battle against The Mad Hatter. Beneath the Surface focuses on a downed flying airship prison, where Killer Croc was detained. Ra’s Al Ghul returns with his League of Assassins in Shadow War. Lastly, Mr. Freeze gets caught up in the Arkham Knight’s Militia’s plans to capture Batman.
Also included in the Season of Infamy DLC is Crime Fighter’s Challenge Pack #5, the 2008 Movie Batman Skin, inspired by Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight movie, and the original Arkham Asylum Batmobile Skin, as well as a Rocksteady Themed Batmobile Skin.
Google and NASA’s Computer is 100 Million Times Faster than Normal PCs
Google and NASA have a "D-Wave 2X quantum annealer," and they say it's 100 million times faster than a PC with a single core.
Over the past couple of years, Google's Quantum AI team has been researching quantum annealers and how they can be used effectively.
"We found that for problem instances involving nearly 1000 binary variables, quantum annealing significantly outperforms its classical counterpart, simulated annealing," writes Hartmut Neven on the Google Research blog. "It is more than 108 times faster than simulated annealing running on a single core."
Twitter Granted Patent for Drone Technology
What could Twitter possibly want with a drone patent? According to CNBC, the company was granted a patent last week for an "unmanned aerial vehicle, or UAV," which will be able to take photos and videos to be shared on Twitter accounts.
Twitter's users will be able to control the device with commands within messages and tweets sent to the account associated with the drone. In the patent, the company writes that the drone's control "may be determined through democratic means," likely through the use of likes, retweets, and replies.
Project Triforce Unveils Deathstroke Arsenal
The officially licensed Batman: Arkham Origins Deathstroke Arsenal is available for preorder now from Project TriForce. The piece is a full-scale replica, and part of a limited edition 500 piece run. Check out the photos below.
Slade Wilson—Deathstroke—was originally a solider in the U.S. Army, though things went wrong when he was part of a military experiment. With increased strength, speed, and healing abilities, Deathstroke is hired to take out Batman. Deathstroke is known for his fighting style and his weapons—his ninjato sword and ballistic staff, which are featured in TriForce's replica.
DC’s Injustice Comic Reaches Its Final Year
It's been the better part of three years since the release of Injustice: Gods Among Us, and DC's comic book prequel is still going strong. This week DC is kicking off the final leg of that prequel saga as Injustice: Year Five makes its digital debut on the DC Comics app and other digital stores. Year Five will chronicle the final conflict between Superman's regime and Batman's resistance leading up to the events of the game. Look for all sorts of classics DC villains to enter the fray in this volume, including Doomsday, Bane and Killer Frost.
We recently had a chance to chat with writer Brian Buccellato about the new series and what fans can expect from this final conflict between Batman and Superman. Buccellato also discussed how next week's Injustice: Year Four Annual fits into the bigger picture and whether there might be a future for the comic once Year Five is finished.
Captain Toad Is Coming to Super Mario Maker in Europe
Super Mario Maker is getting a trio of new costumes later this month in Europe, Nintendo has announced.
In a post on the official Nintendo of Europe Twitter account, the company announced that a Captain Toad costume will be available via a new Event Course on December 25.

City Tracks Teased for Driveclub, Coming in 2016
Evolution has teased Driveclub players with several images of new tracks headed to the game in 2016. The images appear to hint that the new tracks will be set in more built-up and potentially urban environments, which would be a contrast to the game’s existing tracks (which are largely draped across sparsely-populated countryside).
