Sony Merging Hardware, Software & Network Divisions Into Single Company
Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Network Entertainment have merged, creating the all-new, all-encompassing Sony Interactive Entertainment.
This will bring the PlayStation manufacturer's hardware, software, and network divisions under a single roof. The newly christened company will begin on April 1, 2016 and will be headquartered in San Mateo, California, while "key global business operations" will also be coordinated in Tokyo and London.
SIE will be led by President and Global CEO Andrew House, who went into greater detail regarding the merge in a press release.
New BvS Photo Includes Darkseid Omega Symbol
Several new photos of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice have surfaced online and one in particular hints at the inclusion of yet another supervillain.
The photo seen below (from the latest issue of Empire, via ComicBookMovie.com) includes the Darkseid Omega symbol in the sand, which suggests cosmic supervillain Darkseid himself may appear in Zack Snyder's upcoming DC film.
Hayley Atwell on Agent Carter’s Future, Foes and… Musical Numbers?
Since her introduction in Captain America: The First Avenger, Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) has become a beloved and notable part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the character having now popped up in multiple Marvel movies -- it’s worth noting that Atwell and Anthony Mackie are the only two actors who were in both of Marvel’s 2015 films, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man -- and, of course, her own TV series, Marvel’s Agent Carter.
With Agent Carter having kicked off its second season last week, I got on the phone with Atwell, who’s back in London since Agent Carter: Season 2 wrapped, to discuss the new developments in Peggy’s life, now that she’s moved to 1947 Los Angeles. Our lengthy conversation included chatting about the introduction of the Marvel “Darkforce” (or “Zero Matter”) on the series, Peggy’s relationships with Jarvis (James D’Arcy), Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper - who returns in this week’s episode) and Season 2 additions Jason Wilkes (Reggie Austin) and Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett) and much more about Peggy Carter’s ongoing story.

You Could Star in Spielberg’s Ready Player One
Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One is looking for a star, and it could be you. Based on Ernest Cline's book of the same name, the film is looking to fill three specific roles.
For Wade Watts, casting directors Ellen Lewis and Debbie Delisi are looking for someone who could play an 18-19-year-old male—either "overweight or underweight." Watts is described as being "clean cut with a sense of humor," though "not the most confident guy outside the Oasis."
The next role is for a 10-13-year-old boy called Shoto. Those who speak Mandarin and English fluently should apply—especially if you can play someone "hip and knowing for
age." Shoto will compete alongside Watts in the virtual reality world.
Donnie Yen Talks Ip Man 3 and Rogue One
We recently spoke with action icon and Chinese box office star Donnie Yen about his new film, Ip Man 3 (now playing; see our positive review), as well as his role in the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Yen had initially been somewhat reluctant to reprise his role as Ip Man, the legendary real-life Wing Chun Kung Fu master who mentored Bruce Lee, for a third film, but changed his mind with time. "After the first two were so successful, I wanted to top those as an actor. Also I was waiting for the director to come up with the right direction and the right idea," said Yen. Five years would eventually pass between Ip Man 2 and the third installment.
