How Agents of SHIELD’s Leading Ladies are Super, Powers or Not

Before Marvel's Agents of SHIELD even began shooting its pilot episode, Joss Whedon made it clear that there was one line the show would never cross.

Whedon, who directed and co-wrote the show's first episode, sat down with series stars Chloe Bennet and Elizabeth Henstridge, both of whom were playing characters unique to Agents of SHIELD and were taking on their first series regular roles. He set one unbreakable rule for the two of them in their portrayals of hacker Skye (now revealed to be Daisy Johnson) and bio-chemist Jemma Simmons: they would create a relationship based on respect, and not be cruel to each other or portray a "cliched, catty relationship that is always on TV."

This Universe Sim Makes Anything a Playable Character

David O'Reilly, a Los Angeles-based artist known for "god simulator" Mountain and the video game sequences in the film Her, announced an upcoming universe exploration game for PlayStation 4 called Everything.

In Everything, anything you see is a playable character. You can become an animal, an inanimate object, or even a star.

If you're having trouble visualizing this, take a look at the trailer below.

According to O'Reilly's post on the PlayStation blog, Everything has been in development for several years because of the constraints of most game engines, which treat many elements as non-interactive. Everything aims to do the opposite. "If you can see it, you can be it," writes O'Reilly.

The Dark Knight 3 Outsells Star Wars

Diamond Comics has released their sales figures for February 2016, and The Dark Knight III: The Master Race #3 proved to be the best-selling comic of the month with an estimated 146,044 copies sold. That issue helped DC regain some of their lost market share from Marvel, which outsold DC two-to-one in January.

DC had two other books in the top ten - Batman #49 and Justice League #48. The remaining seven spots were claimed by Marvel, with books like Star Wars #16, Spider-Man #1 and Deadpool & The Mercs for Money all performing well.

BvS: Henry Cavill on Superman’s Weakness

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Henry Cavill recently shed light on what fans can expect from the Man of Steel in director Zack Snyder's upcoming film, offering new insight into Kal-El's true weakness and the challenges that await the hero.

"For me, when it came on to Superman’s weakness, it’s inside him," Cavill told EW. "It’s the fact that he does really love humans."

Ultimately, according to Cavill, the Man of Steel's true weakness is "that he doesn’t want to hurt anyone. He doesn’t want to scare anyone, and in that you can take advantage of him." In fact, the actor went so far as to call Superman "a complete amateur" who's "facing up against someone who is very well versed in the arts of war."

Wrestling Wrap Up: Shane McMahon Fights Off Security

You guys, it'd be so awesome if Dean beat Triple H. So awesome. So damn awesome.

So.

Awesome.

But he'll lose.

And, in the end, I'm okay with that mostly because - basically - the world is Dean's oyster after WrestleMania. Maybe even as soon as the post-Mania RAW. Like, that quickly. This guy is about to explode all over the joint. Sure, he could win and they could last-minute rejigger 'Mania with him as the champ, but it's unlikely. More likely that they'll just utilize Dean's bulletproof-ness. Wherein he can get his ass thrashed and still remain the top pop in the company. So Dean can lose to Hunter at Roadblock. And also lose to Brock at 'Mania. He'll still be the biggest babyface.

Half-Life 2 Modders Reveal New Sci-Fi Action Roguelike

Beacon is an upcoming top-down sci-fi shooter headed to Windows, Mac, and Xbox One. You play as a clone of the recently deceased pilot Freja, crash-landed on a hostile alien world and tasked with collecting the materials necessary for crafting a distress beacon. Unlike most games in the roguelike vein, Beacon handles permadeath a bit differently – thanks to the cloning bay onboard your crashed ship, every time you die is an opportunity to recreate yourself in newer, better ways.

You do this by collecting DNA from fallen enemies and then merging it with your own DNA on death, generating an alternate version of yourself. This could mean new stats on your next run, or even "gameplay-altering physical mutations," according to Beacon's official website.
