Halo, Destiny Composer Announces Golem ‘Musical Prequel’ Album
Original Halo and Destiny composer Marty O'Donnell has announced a Kickstarter to help get a "musical prequel" album made for Golem, the new PlayStation VR game in development at his own Highwire Games.
"Echoes of the First Dreamer is not the soundtrack to Golem," Highwire says on the Kickstarter page. "it is a musical prequel; composed, arranged and recorded as an independent work. It will be released before the game and introduce you to the world and themes of Golem."
So why does it need backers? "In order to fund Echoes we need your help," says Highwire. "A stand-alone album of this type is more complicated and expensive than a traditional game soundtrack, and pulling it off will require more time, more musicians and engineering support, and more sophisticated mastering and editing."
The Witcher Developer Plans To Release an Unannounced Game in 2016
During the Polish studio's 2015 financial results conference, CD Projekt president, Adam Kiciński announced that the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer plans to release "a new type of video game format previously unexplored by the studio" in 2016 - before new RPG Cyberpunk 2077 is released in 2017.
The presentation slide that revealed the new game.
As reported by DualShockers, Kiciński refused to explain what that might mean, but said that the studio was "experimenting" and doing things "nobody has ever done before" - although it's not entirely clear whether this was with regard to this new game or Cyberpunk.
Ghostbusters Pinball Machine Revealed, Based on Classic Films
Today Stern Pinball Inc. announced that their next pinball machine will be Ghostbusters. Ghostbusters joins the recent series of big-license pinball games like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. But, somewhat surprisingly, Stern’s Ghostbusters is not based on the upcoming reboot. Ghostbusters pinball instead draws its inspiration from the classic pair of films from the 1980s: Slimer, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Ecto-1, and Bill Murray.
A pinball machine based on Ghostbusters is three decades overdue. According to Stern’s Director of Marketing, Jody Dankberg, the reason it’s happening now is simple, “It's just a timeless, great movie. It's somewhat scary for little kids, it's funny, and it's
Ratchet & Clank PS4 Is Living the Pixar Dream
Mere minutes into Ratchet & Clank, I can’t help but appreciate its super polished look. The series always had lovely, far reaching vistas and good combat, but the shiny textures and lively character animation are on a new level of quality. Similar to the way The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker transformed Nintendo’s fantasy world into a fully-realized cartoon, this reboot feels like the closest thing to a playable Pixar adventure set in space. That’s a high benchmark for the series, and one that developer Insomniac Games has shot for in the past, but what I played of this reimagined origin story blends together the right mix of jaw-dropping technology, witty humor, and explosive set pieces.
Keanu’s Voice Appears in Kitten Comedy Keanu
Good news for fans of the name Keanu – not only is there a film called Keanu coming out this summer, but sounds like it will feature the dulcet tones of the world’s most famous Keanu in the shape of Keanu Reeves.
When we recently asked Reeves about the movie – which revolves around the hunt for a stolen kitten – he said “I’m curious about the title” before adding “I recently did a voiceover for the project – it’s about a cat, though it’s actually not about the cat. There’s a cat named Keanu in it, and so I did a little bit for that.”
As for his thoughts on the film's stars Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key, Reeves said: “They’re lovely comedians – I really enjoy their work. I haven’t seen the picture – I think it’s still coming together. But definitely reading it and seeing what it was about, it’s kind of a heartwarming story about being better.”

Zelda Wii U Director Hints at Western Influence
The Legend of Zelda Wii U will draw from western game design, if recent comments from series director Eiji Aonuma are any indication.
According to Aonuma, the team is looking to offer "something new" with the upcoming Wii U title, telling Famitsu (via Kotaku) "the change in flavor will be like going from Japanese food to Western style food," and players will likely be surprised.
Aonuma acknowledged that previous entries in the series have relied heavily upon the structure of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, calling it "the base of
