Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice Release Date Announced
Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice will come out September 27 on Nintendo 3DS.
SEGA revealed the release date for the handheld game at SXSW over the weekend. Originally planned for 2015, the company delayed Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice in September so developer Sanzaru Games could polish the game up.
The 3DS game will see Sonic once again teaming up with Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Sticks. And this time, the Blue Blur bunch not only has to stop Dr. Eggman, but his robot D-Fekt as well.
Adventure Time VR Game Makes You Feel Like a Character in the Show
Adventure Time: Magic Man’s Head Games was created with younger players in mind, but that didn’t hold back developer Turbo Button from making a joyful experience that feels authentic to the series.
I put on the HTC Vive headset and found myself in some grass just far enough from Finn and Jake to feel like I was spying on them. Shortly after being spotted by Finn and Jake, I was cursed by the Magic Man and turned into a balloon. From there, the three of us went on an adventure through forests, icy mountain tops, and caves to hunt down the Magic Man and have him return me to my original form.
Cartoon Network Digital producer Jacob Everett explained that Cartoon Network worked with Turbo Button to make sure that the movement in VR was easier on younger players. It took me a few minutes to adjust, as usual with VR, but it was an easy adjustment. Having a wider perspective of the world below slowed down my movement and generally felt more comfortable than some of the other first-person games that put you at the center of the action.
The Division Director Heads to Hitman Developer
The director of The Division has jumped ship to Hitman developer Io Interactive.
The director in question, Ryan Barnard, recently wrapped up work on the third-person loot shooter from Ubisoft. As a statement from Io notes Barnard will now fill "the newly created role of Gameplay Director."
Barnard will lead three different Hitman teams. Specifically, those responsible for "gameplay, online and world" design.
Io Interactive recently released its own new product as well. Just three days after The Division the developer launched Hitman, the latest entry in the series of the same name. Hitman is an episodic game with six more major updates scheduled for release.

Doctor Who Returning to Streaming With Amazon Prime
Doctor Who will debut on Amazon Prime Sunday, March 27.
Amazon and BBC have partnered in a multi-year content licensing agreement, making Prime Video the exclusive United States streaming service for the show—which explains why Doctor Who left Netflix in February.
Seasons one through eight of the current version will be available to Amazon Prime members, as well as each holiday episode.
Season nine will be available this fall, along with its Christmas special.
Doctor Who began its run on BBC America in 2005, and centers on the Doctor—a regenerating Time Lord who travels through space and time to save the world. Peter Capaldi plays the current iteration of the Doctor. When Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat leaves the BBC series in 2017, the network wants Capaldi to stay onboard as the the Twelfth Doctor.
