Accidental Free Fallout 4 Season Passes on PS4 Revoked

After a mistake led to UK PS Store users being able to "purchase" the Fallout 4 Season Pass for free last week, Sony Europe has now announced that those who did get a free download have had their order revoked.

"The Fallout 4 Season Pass was briefly made available erroneously free of charge on PlayStation Store in the SCEE region on Friday 18th March", said an SCEE spokesperson. "This was an error and has now been removed. For consumers who may have tried to purchase the Fallout 4 Season Pass during this time, regretfully, these orders will not be fulfilled."

Capcom Celebrates 20 Years of Resident Evil With New Developer Interviews

Capcom is celebrating 20 years of Resident Evil with new behind-the-scenes content about the survival horror series.

It was on March 22, 1996, that we first opened those mansion doors to a whole new genre of video games. Since then, the series has sold over 66 million copies worldwide and spawned six major game releases, as well as several spin-off titles and Hollywood movies.

The developer interviews will roll out over the next year and feature insights from a selection of team members who "played a vital role" in developing the series and the Resident Evil brand itself.

The first in the series features an interview with producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who has been involved with the series (and subsequent movies) since the very first instalment. Despite acknowledging that he's "not fond of horror" himself, Kobayashi credits the secret of Resident Evil's success to a great horror atmosphere, its various puzzles and its wide variety of stories and activities.

Rockstar Classics Bully and Manhunt Arrive on PS4

Two much-loved PS2 Rockstar games, Bully and Manhunt, are now available on PlayStation 4.

Both are priced at £11.99 a pop and are playable via the PS4’s PS2 emulation software, meaning each boasts 1080p up-rendering, as well as Trophies, Share Play, Remote Play, Activity Feeds, and Second Screen support.

Unfortunately if you’re in the UK, Bully still has the rather ludicrous title of Canis Canem Edit (dog eats dog) despite everyone nationwide calling it Bully.

Bully can be found here, while Manhunt can be found here.

Daredevil Star Wants Elektra in The Defenders

Daredevil star Elodie Yung has been talking about whether her character Elektra should appear in a standalone series or forthcoming team-up show The Defenders.

Speaking of a solo outing, Yung said “I love Elektra. I really have a special place in my heart for her. It was very enjoyable for me to discover her and to adapt her for this project and bring myself to this character. So I have a special spot for her. Having my own show – it’s not something that I think of, it’s not. I think I would choose to do things because they are interesting, because I like a character or because it’s very well written. Or because it makes sense. So that’s my answer.”

Extremely non-committal then! But when it comes to popping up in The Defenders, Yung has a much more definitive answer.

Divergent Finale Ascendant Budget Slashed Following Allegiant’s Box Office Debut

Following a weak box office opening for The Divergent Series: Allegiant, a source reported Lionsgate will cut the budget for Ascendant, the final film in the series.

"The budget for the next one will be reduced," a source told The Hollywood Reporter. According to that source, "they haven't said by how much," though it's expected at least several million dollars will be slashed from the film's budget. Allegiant's budget was set at $110 million.

Despite being the lowest opening weekend for the Divergent franchise, Lionsgate still plans to release Ascendant alongside two huge summer box office films—Paramount's World War Z 2 and Universal's The Mummy reboot. All three films are slated to debut on June 9, 2017.

Appaled by Man of Steel Death Toll? Try Force Awakens

Miffed by the epic death toll at the end of Man of Steel? That film's director, Zack Snyder, would like to point out that the highest-grossing domestic release of all time -- Star Wars: The Force Awakens -- has an even higher bodycount than his Superman reboot.

The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director was irked when someone told him they couldn't think of a recent movie with a higher level of collateral damage than Man of Steel.

“I went, really? And I said, well, what about

?” Snyder told the Wall Street Journal.

“In Star Wars they destroy five planets with billions of people on them. That’s gotta be one of the highest death toll movies in history, the new Star Wars movie, if you just do the math.”

BvS: Here’s How Much It’s Projected to Debut With

With its worldwide release just days away, box office tracking estimates Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will open in North America in the same range as Christopher Nolan's last two Dark Knight films and will have a global debut in the ballpark of Marvel's Avengers movies.

According to BoxOffice.com, Batman v Superman is projected to open domestically with roughly $159 million for a total worldwide weekend debut of $390 million.

That $159 million domestic opening would be in line with what The Dark Knight Rises ($160.9 million) and The Dark Knight ($158.4 million) made in their domestic debuts. That's well ahead of Man of Steel's $116.6 million opening weekend in North America.
