Artist Creates Giant Pikachu With 13,000 Pokémon Cards

Pikachu is undeniably huge, both as the primary mascot of the Pokémon franchise, and a cultural icon that transcends its card and video game roots. United Kingdom artist Quentin Devine has now quite literally made the electric rodent massive using nearly 13 thousand trading cards to make a 10 meter tall and 7 meter wide mosaic of the famous creature.

The creation appears to be made mostly from yellow energy cards, owing to the mascot's primary color. “We are incredibly excited to have secured this highly ambitious world record," said Anthony Cornish, Marketing Director for The Pokemon Company International, "and are thrilled to have worked with renowned artist Quentin Devine to bring the mosaic to life.”
