Luthor Creator Writing Talented Mr. Ripley TV Show

Neil Cross, creator of BBC's Luther, has been brought on to adapt Patricia Highsmith's The Talented Mr. Ripley novel series for TV.

The news comes courtesy of Variety, who say the show will be executive produced by Guymon Casady and Ben Forkner of Television 360 and Philipp Keel of Highsmith's publisher, Diogenes. They also say the project is being developed internally by Endemol Shine Studios.

The Talented Mr. Ripley follows a conman in 1950's Italy who kills a rich acquaintance and takes on his identity. The book was previously adapted for the screen as Purple Noon in 1960 as well as in a 1999 thriller starring Matt Damon as Tom Ripley. The movie was nominated for five Academy Awards.

The Lab: Valve’s Free and Fun VR Mini-Game Collection

The Lab, Valve’s free VR game package coming this spring, is a series of experiments for entry-level VR users. When you first load up Steam VR and use the HTC Vive, this is where you should go — an imaginative hub world full of different games and experiences, each serves a separate purpose in teaching you what this extraordinary device can do, while giving you something entertaining to do with it.

Some of these games are inspired by the Portal and Dota 2 universes. Others are entirely original. Everything in The Lab is creative, cool, and different. In addition to the Aperture Science Robot Repair and Dota 2 Secret Shop demos we’ve played before, these are our favorite things you’ll see when The Lab launches alongside Vive this year.

Legendary rocker Paul McCartney has joined the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in a scene not originally planned.

According to a report from Deadline, although the film had already wrapped, directors Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg and producer Jerry Bruckheimer decided to add McCartney in for "an extra big set-piece scene."

While no other details were given on McCartney's role, the report states that he won't be part of a re-shoot, but rather an extra scene. And since the film isn't slated to release until May 26, 2017, there's still plenty of time to add it in.

Batman v Superman Team Responds to Negative Reviews

It's ultimately the response from the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice audience that will determine the film's success, according to Superman actor Henry Cavill.

Following lukewarm reception from movie critics, the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice team is encouraging moviegoers to put aside the critical response and to see the film for themselves before dismissing it.

"What is really going to matter, I believe, is what the audience says," Cavill told Yahoo! Movies. "Because they're the ones who are buying tickets, they're the ones who want to see more of this kind of story or not and so the audience's voice is the loudest and after this weekend, the audience, at least partly, will have spoken."
