Interview With the Vampire: New Mutants Director Developing Remake
New Mutants director Josh Boone is developing a new film adaptation of Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire and The Vampire Lestat, Boone announced.
Jill Killington—who wrote 2016's All We Had with Boone—will serve as co-writer. As reported in 2014, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (The Amazing Spider-Man, Star Trek) will produce, with Bobby Cohen (The Mummy, Now You See Me) as executive producer.
Rice has been publishing the Vampire series since 1976, with the most recent title having been released in 2014. Interview with the Vampire—which was adapted to film in 1994—centers on the lives of vampires Louis de Pointe du Lac and Lestat de Lioncourt with the twelve-year-old girl turned into their vampire daughter.

In March, it was rumored Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams might play Wolfsbane, but 20th Century Fox later denied the reports. However, Williams wasn't shy about discussing her interest in the role.
Evolve Developer Working on New Game
Turtle Rock Studios, the developer behind Left 4 Dead and Evolve, is working on a whole new game.
The news comes from a job listing on the studio's website for an animation programmer. The position is for an "unannounced new" intellectual property described as a "cutting edge game targeting next generation hardware."
It's difficult to make any sort of guess as to what the new game will be. However, among the responsibilities for the open job position is the need to "deliver excellent combat, character locomotion and movement mechanics, and cinematics" to the unnamed new game.
Star Wars’ Daisy Ridley Joins New Hamlet Film
Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley will be joining Naomi Watts for a retelling of Shakespeare's Hamlet focused on the royal women.
Ridley will play the title character Ophelia, and the story will explore her romance with Prince Hamlet and her relationship with Queen Gertrude, played by Watts.
The film will be based on the novel by Lisa Klein. Semi Chellas (Mad Men) has adapted it for the screen, and Claire McCarthy (The Waiting City) is attached to direct.
"Ophelia is brimming with youth-fueled charisma, exploring the nature of true love and beauty, and I'm so excited to bring this fresh mythic spin to Hamlet from a female perspective,” McCarthy said in a statement. “This retelling will be experienced through the eyes of Ophelia and has the kind of romance, complexity and suspense that makes this beloved story exciting to younger audiences."
Avengers: Infinity War 1 and 2 Will Get New Titles
Filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo are planning to change the names for Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 and Part 2.
Speaking with Uproxx, the Captain America: Civil War directors said the two films will get title changes sooner than later. "The movies are two very different movies," said Joe Russo, explaining the reasoning for switching things up for the Marvel films.
“It is misleading,” added Anthony Russo, when asked about the current two-part title for Infinity War.
Joe Russo says it's just a matter of time until new names are announced for the films. "The intention is we will change it, we just haven’t come up with the titles yet," he said. "But, yes, we will change it. And, yes, that is a scoop: we will retitle them."
