X-Men: Apocalypse Writer Teases Post-Credits Scene
Spoiler warning: If you want to know absolutely nothing about Apocalypse before seeing it, turn back now.
Simon Kinberg, writer/producer of the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse has offered a teasing hint as to the post-credits scene in the new film.
“It’s a nod toward potentially a lot of different movies", Kinberg told Collider. "I mean certainly the Wolverine movie is related to what happens at the end of it, but there’s also another character that’s introduced, at least in name, in the tag
and he could show up in any host of different X-Men films. Maybe a Gambit movie, maybe another X-Men movie.”
TMNT: Amell Talks Bringing Casey Jones to Life
Not only do we have the first clip from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows today (which you can watch below), but we also have an interview with Casey Jones himself -- Arrow’s Stephen Amell!
First, watch the clip right here:
And now, read on for the chat with Amell, which was conducted as part of a group set visit for the TMNT sequel.
Question: What was your relationship to the TMNT franchise before you signed on to play Casey Jones? Were you a fan, or are you a newcomer to the Turtle world?
Stephen Amell: I'm a fan principally from the movies, actually. The three movies that came out timed up nicely with me in elementary school. And I actually remember going to three successive birthday parties where we would go see the Turtles movie and then we would just go home and eat cheese pizza ‘til everyone was sick to their stomach. So when I booked the job, my wife, who was also a huge fan and had a Turtles-themed birthday party, went back and watched the original movies. I can't remember the Casey Jones character but she actually remembered it much more than I did when I had my initial meeting and chat just about Turtles in general, not actually the character. She met our director, Dave Green, and asked maybe one pointed question. He gave a rather unspecific answer and she immediately went
The 100: Can ALIE be Stopped?
A veteran of sci-fi series like Eureka and Battlestar Galactica, Erica Cerra has played an integral role on The 100 this season as the AI known as Alie (or A.L.I.E.). Now fully taking her place as the season’s main antagonist, Alie has successfully gathered a huge number of followers who have taken the “chip” that puts them under her thrall – and in the last episode managed to move her power source off Earth onto the remnants of the Ark, seemingly making it impossible to stop her.
With The 100 going into the last two episodes of Season 3, I spoke to Cerra about Alie’s point of view and just how safe she is, what it’s like playing a character with seemingly no emotions and more about her experience working on The 100.
DOOM Car Will Race at the Indy 500
Bethesda Softworks is sponsoring a DOOM-themed car in the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500—also known as the Indy 500.
The partnership between Bethesda and Schmidt Peterson Motorsports is a "perfect" fit, Bethesda vice president of PR and marketing Pete Hines said. "DOOM is all about pushing forward with incredible speed."
Mikhail Aleshin, a driver from Russia, will take the helm. He'll be the first driver from Russia to race in the Verizon IndyCar series.
The DOOM car will debut on May 14 at the Angie's List Grand Prix of Indianapolis—just one day after the game's launch.
We Might Just Have Seen the Final Halo 5 Guardians Update
Alongside the announcement that Halo 5's Memories of Reach DLC would drop today, 343 Industries revealed teaser footage from the next update—Hog Wild.
Skip to 2:10:00 in the video below to check out the preview shown during a Halo 5 livestream.
343 Industries hasn't detailed what Hog Wild will include, but we're guessing it has to do with the game's Warthog vehicles. However, it's possible there will be some real pigs; just a bit earlier in the video, around 2:07:00, Olive—a cute pig wearing a bowtie—made an appearance on the livestream. She's apparently been added to Forge as a placeable item.
The developer has said Halo 5's free content would run through June, and it's possible Hog Wild is the last major free update (besides Warzone Firefight) for Halo 5: Guardians.
Forging Alliances in Total War: Warhammer
In Total War: Warhammer, Creative Assembly is casting aside its historical banner and taking up a coat of arms in a realm where unholy beasts and ferocious magic are the norm and where the forces of chaos are ready to sweep down and engulf the world.
But how does a developer, whose flagship franchise has refined the art of real-world war over the past 15 years, go about building a title atop a fantasy series that’s ruled the roost of tabletop miniatures for over three decades?
Appropriately enough, the answer begins with play.
