Dark Souls 3 Modder Adds First-Person Mode
Modder Zulliethewitch has created a functional (and surprisingly spiffy-looking) first-person mode for the PC version of Dark Souls 3.
Available to download through a Reddit post, the mod seemingly allows for all weapon types, and even items like binoculars, to be used in up-close fashion.
Here's a video montage by YouTuber Iron Pineapple.
I'm a particular fan of the Rayman-style floating gauntlets, but even more of a fan of the fact that 360-no-scopes are now possible in this game. What a world.
First-person mode is switched on using the Cheat Engine modding solution, but we'd still advise backing up all your files and playing offline to avoid the possibility of game-breaking errors and bans.
Nature Reclaims The Wasteland in These Fallout 4 Mods

A YouTube video by hodilton, posted yesterday, makes use of three different mods to achieve a greener Fallout 4. The mods in question are as follows:
- Resurrection – for new grass, landscape, and buildings textures, as well as new ambient sounds.
- Grasslands – which brings in not only other new grass textures, but also flowers and modified debris, beaches, and marshlands.
We Take a Deep Dive Into Dishonored 2
Dishonored was a mad game. It burst onto the pointy end of a very stale console cycle in an electrical shower of creativity, born from minds which had seemingly been straining a little too long at the leash. To this day, its bizzaro-Dickensian world and freewheeling mechanics still feel like anomalies in a mire of safe-bets.
“We
have always been dedicated to a level design concept that allows you to approach the game from many different ways,” says Dishonored’s co-creative director Harvey Smith. “Stealth, combat, lethal, non-lethal. Playing at your own pace.”
“But let’s move on,” he says, as he begins his demonstration of Dishonored 2.
Dishonored 2 looks every part as eccentric as its predecessor, but with vital differences. Some are obvious - a brand new character, city and game engine - some are subtle - Corvo’s new power tree - but all feel fresh and exciting.
Singer Pitched Female Wolverine for X-Force Film
20th Century Fox is moving forward with its long-awaited X-Force film, and X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has shed some light on what direction the movie may take in regards to Wolverine.
In an interview with Erik Davis at Fandango, Singer confirmed that he's discussed with the studio what will happen with Wolverine after Hugh Jackman retires the claws for good, and even suggested featuring Logan's female clone X-23 in Fox's X-Force film. "I actually initially pitched the X-Force and the female," he said.
While Singer was careful to note that he's currently only involved at the idea level, he did confirm that X-Force "is in the earliest script stage" at the hands of X-producer Simon Kinberg, adding, "so that’s kind of where that stands, and we’ll see how it evolves." Once he finishes with Apocalypse, Singer is focusing on his next film -- a new version of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea -- for now.

Twitter Will Stop Counting Links in 140-Character Limit
Twitter may soon exclude links and photos from the 140-character limit the social media platform has come to be known for.
As reported by Bloomberg, citing a source close to Twitter and the company’s plans, this particular change could be made within the next two weeks. Currently, links are automatically altered to 23 characters, even if the original link has fewer characters.
Last year, Twitter was rumored to be working on a way to move past the character limit, and in January the company was said to be considering 10,000 character tweets; a move that was already made with direct messages. Changes to the way Tweets are made were not implemented, with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey later stating the platform would keep its current character limit.
Dark Souls Board Game Kickstarter Ends With $5 Million
Dark Souls: The Board Game ended its Kickstarter campaign with over $5 million USD in funding. Steamforged Games reached its Kickstarter goal of $70,832 USD just three minutes into the campaign, which began on April 19. Since then, the game has smashed past its stretch goals—on May 6, Dark Souls: The Board Game reached $2.9 million with ten days left to go.
To celebrate, the developer has unlocked the final stretch goals up to $5,760,200 USD (£4,000,000). The last additions will be added to backer's pledges for free. Today, Steamforged Games confirmed the core Dark Souls board game will come with a free "scenario-driven Campaign Mode," where "level of success" continues "from one game to another." The developer will be working with backers to create scenarios that are "as intriguing and challenging as possible."
Rush Hour Canceled by CBS
After just one season, CBS has decided to cancel Rush Hour.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie-inspired drama starring Justin Hires and Jon Foo won't receive a second season, thanks to a mediocre debut in March, which kicked off a season that garnered a modest 1.2 rating and 6 million viewer base.
While the show had the backing of a solid production team lead by Bill Lawrence (Scrubs), the fact that Rush Hour is from Warner Bros. TV didn't work in its favor, as broadcast networks are less likely to continue a series that comes from an outside studio unless they are true hits.
