Black Panther: Don’t Believe John Boyega Casting Rumors
Despite recent rumors suggesting John Boyega may appear in Black Panther, it looks like the Star Wars actor isn't involved in Marvel Studios' upcoming comic book flick after all.
Boyega's reps have confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that Boyega "is not and will not" join Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o and the recently cast Michael B. Jordan in Black Panther. Additionally, the actor's U.K. agent debunked the rumor on Twitter.
CW’s Riverdale Really Looks like Archie Meets Twin Peaks
The CW debuted trailers for their three new series for the 2016-2017 season at the network Upfront today, including the Archie comics-based Riverdale (From The Flash and Arrow's Greg Berlanti), plus Frequency and No Tomorrow.
You’ll find the trailers for Frequency and No Tomorrow below, but with the trailer for Riverdale not posted online (it’s debuting midseason), read on for my description of what was shown.
The Riverdale trailer begins with evocative images of the town, including a flowing river and happy high school kids, but with a “there’s something not quite right” vibe to it all, as the images flash by quickly. We’re told in voice over “This story is about a town. A small town. Safe, decent, innocent…”
Halo Forge Coming to Windows 10 This Year
After redesigning Halo 5: Guardians' Forge system "from the ground up" for the Xbox One, 343 Industries will bring Forge — Halo 5: Guardians Edition to Windows 10.
The creation tool—which will be free—will include keyboard and mouse support, increased resolution, and the ability to publish creations to Xbox One. Windows 10 users will also be able to recruit friends to help built, test, and play Forge maps.
"Forge on the PC will finally give the mouse/keyboard editing precision the community has always been clamoring for," 343 Industries UGC director Tom French said. "On top of that, an updated and optimized UI geared towards mouse interactions makes a lot of the inputs in Forge easier/faster than before."
Poe a ‘Far Bigger Deal’ in Star Wars: Episode 8
Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron will play a much larger role in Star Wars: Episode VIII as each member of the film's heroic cast is tested.
Rolling Stone reports that Isaac's character is undoubtedly a "far bigger deal" in the followup to The Force Awakens. While rumors suggest his role was beefed up in response to his performance, Isaac claims it's because he's no longer planned to be killed off.
"In the new film, there's a lot more to do," Isaac said of his role in Episode VIII. "What happens now is the heroes get tested. All three of them," he added, noting Poe, Rey (Daisy Ridely) and Finn (John Boyega) will all "get tested immensely."

Zelda Cosplays Bring A Link Between Worlds To Life
TJ Cosplay and Aretmis Costuming have brought Zelda and Hilda from A Link Between Worlds to life in a recent cosplay photoshoot.
The costumes took around three months to make, with the cosplayers saying, "We worked pretty closely together to make sure they both looked coherent and like they were a set."
Check out the pictures, which were, fittingly, taken in a forest - click right to see more:
The photographer featured is Sean Fernandez.
TJ Cosplay - the Hilda cosplayer - said the hardest part for her was constructing a staff, "It was my first time constructing a prop like that, and my first time wiring and setting up the electronics, as well as welding the base for the triforce. Thankfully it all worked as I had imagined."
We Smelled Mass Effect, and It Was Weird
Feeling disgust is rarely a fun thing, but Mass Effect: New Earth somehow made that work.
Mass Effect: New Earth is a “4D Holographic Journey” at the amusement park California’s Great America in Santa Clara, California. Like other 4D rides, riders wear 3D glasses and sit in seats that spray water and scents, poke riders with bumps in the seat, and shoot bursts of air at riders' legs and feet. It’s gimmicky, but surprisingly immersive.
Warning, spoilers for the ride below.
Upon entering the ride I found myself reunited with Commander Shepard's biggest — and craziest — fan, Conrad Verner. An actor playing Conrad stood in front of the screen and guided us through our adventure. Somehow, Conrad managed to become captain of a tourist ship going to Terra Nova via Mass Relay, and I was on it. As you could imagine, it didn't go well. Shortly after getting to Terra Nova, the Reaper attack begins.

Using a technology that unlocks genetic memories, Lynch is able to use the knowledge and skill gained from his past to take on a "powerful Templar organization" in the present day.
Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Legends Mega-Crossover Coming
One probably guessed this was on the way, given Supergirl's new move from CBS to The CW for its second season -- and The CW releasing their fall 2016 schedule featuring four of its five weekday nights kicking off with a DC Comics series -- but a giant four-show mega crossover event is headed our way that will bring together Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
On a conference call with the press this morning, CW head Mark Pedowitz confirmed that all four of their Greg Berlanti-produced DC series will join up for one big story. Said Pedowitz, "Just imagine what our superhero crossover episode is going to look like come December," while also referring to the crossover as "the biggest one ever."
