Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg on Bringing Preacher to TV
After several false starts over the years, in various incarnations, Preacher is coming to television to try to save your souls and/or rake in additional viewers for AMC. The adaptation of the comic by writer Garth Ennis and artist Steve Dillon is executive produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg; they've been fans of the comic since it debuted in the latter half of the '90s and first considered pursuing Preacher when they were filming Pineapple Express.
During a recent press conference Rogen said, "We were just picking up some momentum as writers, so we were like, 'We're writers now. We're making an action comedy. Maybe they'll let us make Preacher.'" It eventually fell in place when they met Neal Moritz on The Green Hornet. "We actually developed a very good relationship with him and he started controlling the property eventually and he had heard us talk about it nonstop," Rogen said.
Ninja Turtles 2: New Krang Voice Actor Revealed
Brad Garrett will voice Krang in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Garrett (Finding Nemo, Everybody Loves Raymond) will voice the iconic TMNT villain in Michael Bay's second Ninja Turtles film, taking the place of Saturday Night Live comedian Fred Armisen, who had to leave the project because of a scheduling conflict.
For those unfamiliar, Krang was a key character in the classic 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon television series. As an alien banished from his home planet, the TMNT villain traveled to Earth looking to take over the planet, living within a human-like exosuit.

Keaton Back in Talks to Play Spider-Man Villain
Michael Keaton is back at the negotiating table to play the unspecified villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
According to Variety, Keaton -- who was first reported as being in talks in April before bowing out -- initially passed over "money issues." The Hollywood Reporter claims Keaton is now in "final negotiations" and "closing a deal" for the film. Marvel and Sony had moved on to other actors before circling back to Keaton.
Fargo: Ewan McGregor Cast in Season 3
Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor will play two central characters in Season 3 of FX's Fargo—brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy.
The upcoming third season, which is scheduled to begin production later this year, will be set "closer to present day" than the first two seasons, Deadline reported.

As Emmit Stussy, McGregor will play a "handsome, self-made, real estate mogul and family man." As the Parking Lot King of Minnesota, Emmit is considered "an American success story." His younger brother, Ray Stussy, is "more of a cautionary tale." He blames Emmit for his misfortune—he's a parole officer who peaked in high school—and has a "chip on his shoulder about the hand he's been dealt."
Legends of Tomorrow: Season 2 Cast Changes Detailed
This week's episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow brought with it the end of Season 1, marking some major changes for two of the show's key characters.

During the Season 1 finale -- read IGN's review of "Legendary" here -- the Vandal Savage story arc came to a close, as Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée) completed their quest to take down the immortal supervillain.
As such, Renée will no longer be a series regular in Season 2, much like Wentworth Miller, whose character Leonard Snart exited the show as a regular following the events of last week's episode. Hentschel, however, was a recurring guest in the first season, so the change for his character isn't as dramatic.
DC Needs a New Geoff Johns
It's been a rocky few months for Warner Bros.' DC movie lineup, with the lukewarm response to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice casting a shadow over the future of the DC Extended Universe. But things are looking up this week, thanks to the creation of DC Films and the announcement that Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns will be one of two men responsible for overseeing this new branch. Clearly, the hope is that Johns will be able to bring the same magic touch to DC's movie universe that he has with the comic book and TV divisions over the past two decades.
This good news comes at a cost, however. Johns confirmed this week that he's stepping away from writing comics in order to focus on his new film responsibilities. That means for the first time in the better part of two decades, Johns won't be writing a monthly comic at DC. It's a strange thought considering just how integral Johns has been in shaping the voice and direction of DC Comics in its current incarnation. With Johns moving on, the question is now which creators can fill the void he's leaving behind.
Cap 3 Passes $1 Billion at the Worldwide Box Office
After dominating the box office two weekends in a row, Captain America: Civil War has reached $1 billion in worldwide sales.
According to Variety, Disney's latest Marvel flick now stands as the 25th movie to hit the milestone, reaching $314 million on Thursday (its 14th day of release in the United States) and $667 million on its 23rd day internationally.
Additionally, Disney has confirmed that Civil War is now its top-grossing movie of the year, standing alongside The Avengers, Iron Man 3 and Age of Ultron as the fourth MCU movie to surpass $1 billion globally, and the 10th Disney film to reach the milestone.
