A Visual History of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were first introduced to the world way back in 1984. The original, Mirage Studios comic, created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, was a parody of several existing comic franchises. The success of the comic later spawned a syndicated cartoon program, and from there, Turtlemania swept the nation.

Suddenly the Turtles were everywhere, from video games to breakfast cereals, to an increasingly baffling line of action figures. The first live-action movie, way back in 1990, was a run-away success and spawned two follow-ups.

Here's a look at the Turtles' humble, surprisingly violent beginnings as comic book characters, all the way through to their upcoming appearance in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan.

Maze Runner Star May Be Battle Angel Alita

After narrowing down their search to just a few actresses for the lead role in Alita: Battle Angel, it appears producer James Cameron and director Robert Rodriguez have settled on Maze Runner's Rosa Salazar.

Sources have told Collider that Salazar has been selected to play the film's leading lady, edging out Bella Thorne, Zendaya and Maika Monroe.

Report: Hiddleston Eyed to Replace Daniel Craig as Bond

British actor Tom Hiddleston, known to geeks far and wide for his portrayal of the fiendish Loki in the Marvel movies, is reportedly in talks to succeed Daniel Craig as the screen's next James Bond.

According to Birth.Movies.Death: "Choosing words carefully, our source confirms that while talks have indeed taken place, and that Hiddleston very much wants the job (a fact of which he’s made no secret), no official offer has been made - yet."

TNT's The Last Ship returns on Sunday, June 12th with an two-hour premiere and we've got your first look at the new Season 3 trailer.

Game of Thrones: How Meeting Sam’s Family Changes Things

Samwell Tarly is back on Game of Thrones in Sunday's episode, and it's finally time for viewers to see a bit of his past.

The promo for Season 6, episode 6, "Blood of My Blood," shows Sam and Gilly stopping by the Tarlys' home, Horn Hill. There they'll meet Sam's father Randyll (played by James Faulkner), as well as his mother Melessa (Samantha Spiro), brother Dickon (Freddie Stroma) and sister Talla (Rebecca Benson).

To set up this meet-the-parents situation, IGN had a chance to sit down with stars John Bradley and Hannah Murray to find out what the visit to Horn Hill is going to mean for Game of Thrones.

Developer Says it Is Making a VR Xbox One Game

It looks as though Xbox One will indeed be going virtual reality-compatible soon.

Ars Technica reports it has received word from at least one major developer making a virtual reality game on Xbox One for release in 2017.

Ars was told directly by the developer as part of E3 preparations, and the comments were backed up by a PR representative.

Earlier this week, several reports emerged indicating that Microsoft will be releasing a more powerful Xbox One - codenamed Scorpio - in 2017. Scorpio will apparently be powerful enough to run intensive VR games. Today's report would seem to back up this story.
