No Transformers-TMNT Crossover Until Stories ‘Played Out’
Those hoping for a film that blends the Ninja Turtles and Transformers universes will likely be waiting for quite a while, as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows producer Brad Fuller has made it clear a crossover project won't be coming anytime soon.
In an interview with Screenrant, Fuller said there are still plenty of stories within the TMNT universe he'd like to explore before mixing it with another franchise. "It feels to me like we need to do a lot more work before we get to that stage," he explained.
"I don’t know why we would start doing a crossover until it felt like the storylines had been played out in the Turtle world," he added, noting that they're "not even close" to covering all of the "amazing stories" crafted by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. As such, Fuller doesn't see the need for a crossover right now.
