Director Has No Regrets Over Iron Man 3’s Mandarin

Writer-director Shane Black says that while he feels bad about some comic book fans not liking his take on the Mandarin in Iron Man 3, he nevertheless has no regrets about the choice, and would do it again given the chance.

IRON MAN 3 SPOILERS AHEAD

Far from being an actual person in the movie, the Mandarin was revealed to be a character played by a British stage actor, and that bait-and-switch so annoyed fans that Black believes Marvel made the ‘Hail to the King’ short just to appease them.

But he feels little remorse about his take on the character.

IGN UK Podcast #334: Warcraft Is Like a Teddy Left in the Woods

If you'll learn one thing in this episode, it's that Preacher is gross. If you'll learn two things, it's that Preacher is gross, and that Rory's dad is a sort of modern Spartan. If you'll learn three things, it's Preacher = gross, Rory = Spartan progeny and that there is a Spider-Man who is a pig.

We were also apparently less disappointed by the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film than Warcraft, and Krupa once played frisbee with either some goop or a man's face.

Don't forget, for some reason we're running 10 kilometres/perish for charity - here's our Just Giving page if you'd like to sponsor us!

Walking Dead Creator Thinks Game of Thrones Shouldn’t Use Book’s Ending

As HBO's hit fantasy series Game of Thrones moves forward without new novels from George R.R. Martin to directly adapt, The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman believes showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss should have had to craft the show's ending without guidance from the author.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Kirkman expressed his "disappointment" in how Game of Thrones is going beyond GRRM's collection of published novels, as Season 6 continues the story while Martin has yet to finish The Winds of Winter. Benioff and Weiss have spoken about how Martin sat down with them and explained how his story would end, giving them the major plot points for how to end the TV series.
