18 Pictures of Highly Detailed Titanfall 2 Toys
In February, McFarlane Toys announced it was making a line of Titanfall 2 figures to be released alongside the game later this year. Now we've finally gotten a chance to see them up close.
The toy line includes a 7-inch version of protagonist Jack Cooper, equipped with his CAR submachine gun, and a 10-inch version of BT-7274, a Titan who linked to Cooper after his former pilot died. There are some other goodies as well, so check them all out in the slideshow below.
According to McFarlane's website, the figures come with codes for exclusive unlockable in-game content.
Person of Interest Explored a World Without the Machine
At the Austin ATX Television Festival over this past weekend, Person of Interest showrunner Greg Plageman screened tonight's penultimate episode, ".exe," for fans and then sat for a Q&A panel moderated by IGN's Eric Goldman, answering a few questions about the episode which he co-wrote (with Erik Mountain) and directed (as a first time director).
Warning: Spoilers for ".exe" follow...
"This was an episode we talked about doing about doing a long time ago," Plageman said of the concept to explore an alternate world where the Machine was never created, "and Jonah
had been on me to direct two seasons ago. By the way, the big lesson I learned is if you ever get that feeling that you're completely terrified by doing something because you're not sure how it'll work out, then you should definitely do that thing. Because that was this episode for me. It certainly arrived at the perfect time for me since it was the second to last episode and it was something we'd talked about doing and it hadn't come up, so I thought 'Well, if I'm going to direct, I'm going to do that and I'm going to get Michael Emerson to be in, like, every scene.'"
South Park: The Fractured But Whole First-Look Preview
South Park is one of the only franchises I'd be happy to see annualised, after The Stick of Truth showed us that a modern South Park game plays just like an extended episode - outside of combat, the two mediums are almost indistinguishable. The Fractured But Whole continues that trend pretty literally - it takes place immediately after the events of The Stick of Truth, with South Park's not-so-charming group of 4th graders now LARPing as Superheroes, with their own hypothetical movie franchises and Netflix series'.
After Ubisoft's press conference yesterday, where we already saw a meaty amount of gameplay, I was able to feast my eyes on an extended demo, with more fart sound effects in 20 minutes than I've ever heard in any other video game. We started out with our protagonist, literally called Douchebag, looking for Coon And Friends in Eric Cartman's house. There's a keypad barring you from the basement, though, with inscriptions of words I can't write here without getting an angry email from a young IGN reader's mother. So, you set off to find the code, interacting with cabinets and drawers that deliver an odd variety of crafting loot, though we didn't get to preview the crafting system.
The Elder Scrolls Online Is Getting Lots More DLC
Elder Scrolls Online will receive three pieces of new DLC above and beyond the new content announced at Bethesda's E3 conference.
Speaking to IGN, game director Matt Firor confirmed that an Argonian Dungeon Pack and character customising barber shop would arrive in August, while the much-requested addition of player housing would be added in "the first quarter of next year".
Developer Zenimax announced the content barrier-collapsing One Tamriel update and a console release for the Dark Brotherhood DLC at Bethesda's E3 showcase.

Why Zelda: Breath of the Wild Doesn’t Have Female Link
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild doesn't feature the option to play as a female hero, and series producer Eiji Aonuma has come forward to explain why.
In an interview with GameSpot at E3 2016, Aonuma acknowledged the rumors of a female Link, noting the team "did discuss as a staff as to what would be possible if
took that route."
But instead of further exploring the possibility of a female Link, the team considered making Zelda the hero. "We thought about it and decided that if we're going to have a female protagonist it's simpler to have Princess Zelda as the main character," he said.
EA Motive ‘Focusing Mostly on Battlefront,’ Still Collaborating with Visceral Games
EA Motive may now be collaborating with DICE on the next Star Wars Battlefront, but that doesn't mean its work with Visceral—or on its own IP—is over.
"The two studios I'm working with are Visceral and Motive, and so obviously the long-term strategy is that we're going to collaborate on both
," Jade Raymond said in an interview during E3, noting that Motive will still be involved with Visceral
For now, Raymond said that EA Motive is "focusing mostly on Battlefront, but there are still people collaborating between the studios on Amy

Persona 5 Is Dripping With Style
Even in trailers, Persona 5 isn’t lacking in style. Fans have already dissected everything from menus to victory screens to point out stylized fonts, transitions, and more, but after seeing gameplay shown at the Atlus booth during E3 this week, I can say that even trailers didn’t do the gameplay justice. Persona 5 looks damn good.
Every animation, on-screen prompt, and speech bubble is meticulously thought out. A "Start Mission" prompt we saw in a classroom didn't just appear on screen, but on a chalkboard instead, and was erased (with eraser smear!) once accepted. Test questions presented in a biology class are no longer text prompts, but appear on screen as graphs or images with multiple choice options. This is a game absolutely dripping in style, with an aesthetic so unique that even a quiet moment of running through the Tokyo streets looks gorgeous.
God of War PS4 Made Me Care About the Series
"Kratos believes that being a god is a disease, and that rage is a side effect of that disease, and he’s terrified that he’s passed it on to his son.”
This was a sentence I didn’t expect to hear about God of War 24 hours ago. But after its stunning reveal at Sony’s E3 2016 conference, I got a chance to see an extended version of that demo, and speak with Cory Barlog, the game’s creative director. After seven games set in Greece, seven games that told the story of a character who felt one-dimensional in his rage, and seven games that caused me to become apathetic towards the series, I am fully on-board for this new God of War.
I've always appreciated the combat and spectacle of the God of War games. The core trilogy remains some of the most influential action games of the past 15 years. But despite this, I've never been able to connect with the series, and I think that's because of Kratos himself. One of my biggest qualms with the prior GoW games is that Kratos himself just didn’t have the depth I wanted in a character. But that’s changing now.
