Daniel Radcliffe Won’t See Cursed Child Any Time Soon

Daniel Radcliffe, a.k.a. Harry Potter in the hit film series, doesn't expect he'll see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for quite some time.

"I want to see the show—I genuinely am intrigued and I've heard it's fantastic—but I just feel sitting in an audience of what will for the most of the near future be very enthusiastic Harry Potter fans might be like not a relaxing way to see a show," Radcliffe told Stephen Colbert on the Late Show. Watch the chat below:

The play, which is currently running as a public preview, is set 19 years after the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Radcliffe also said he's pleased to see actor Jamie Parker playing Harry Potter now. "Jamie Parker is a wonderful actor and I'm very happy to see him play me," he said. "All of the questions can shift to him now. He can do all the Harry questions now."

Fallout 4: Nuka-World DLC Lets You Play as a Raider

This August Bethesda will release its final Fallout 4 DLC, Nuka-World, in which we will finally be allowed to become the actual bad guy.

You will be able to "lead lethal gangs of Raiders" into rival settlements, "bending the Commonwealth to your will." It's not clear whether this means Bethesda is adding a new faction—though it certainly sounds like it.

According to new details on the Nuka-World Steam page (which lists a conflicting July release date, possibly referring to a beta), the abandoned theme park is controlled by Raiders. The all-new region features an "open wasteland and park zones," including the Safari Adventure, Dry Rock Gulch, Kiddie Kingdom, and Galactic Zone. New quests, Raiders, weapons, creatures and more are expected.

Resident Evil 7 Demo Not Part of the Main Game

Capcom's demo for Resident Evil 7—which is available now for PlayStation Plus members—is not part of the final game, according to director Koushi Nakanishi.

"The teaser demo is a bespoke experience that isn’t just a slice of gameplay from the main game," Nakanishi told IGN, saying it's "kind of a tonal preview instead of a content preview." He also stressed the demo doesn't feature all of the gameplay pillars that will ultimately be included in Resident Evil 7, noting it's only focusing on the "key pillars which are fear/horror and exploration of an environment."

The other main pillars inherent to the Resident Evil franchise, namely "puzzle solving, resource management, and combat" are all "coming down the line," according to Nakanishi. "They’re all in there, but we’re focussing on horror has come home as a kind of theme for the teaser demo," he added. "So if you thought the games were going away from horror in previous years, this is just a statement of intent, purpose, to say it’s back."

Hands On With Fallout 4 VR

My brief few minutes in Fallout 4 VR were mostly spent wandering around the Red Rocket station just outside Sanctuary. While my immediate impulse was to sprint off and try to reach Diamond City, the personnel managing the demo booth discouraged me from leaving the immediate area, as scripted events were confined to the zone near the service station. They assured me that the rest of the world was out there, but the spirit of Fallout lives and breathes in exploration, and I wanted to blaze my own trail, experiencing the rich and detailed Commonwealth through new eyes.

What I did manage to see certainly was pretty. Colors and textures were sharp, and the enticing silhouetted structures and rolling hills teasing me from the distance looked lovely in the midday sun. I took a couple of minutes orienting myself to the sense of immersion, looking around just for the sake of taking everything in and soaking up a satisfying and surprisingly convincing illusion of my transportation not to some semblance of reality, but rather to some wonderfully electric, digitally-defined otherworld.

Xbox One Is ‘Months Away’ from Mouse and Keyboard Support

According to Microsoft, mouse and keyboard support for Xbox One is not far off.

Speaking with PCGamesN about Microsoft's new Play Anywhere feature -- which lets players buy a game once and play it seamlessly on Xbox One and Windows 10 -- Head of Xbox Phil Spencer shared new details about the future of mouse and keyboard support on Xbox One.

"I keep talking about it in the press and my platform team keeps shaking their head, because they… Truthfully, in our dev kit modes, now, keyboard works, mouse support is a little bit further away," Spencer said. "I say it because I know it’s not years away, it’s more like months away, but we don’t have an exact date yet."

Square Enix Not Ruling Out Kingdom Hearts Collection for PS4

Square Enix has not ruled out the possibility of a PS4 remaster collection comprising PS3 games Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix and 2.5 Final Mix.

Kingdom Hearts 3 co-director, Tai Yasue told IGN: "We listen to our fans obviously so we'll see what they think

and we'll come to a decision on that."

Yasue is currently promoting the upcoming release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, a compilation game designed to bring players up to speed with the the Kingdom Hearts world before the release of a full third instalment.

There are decisions still to be made regarding that game, too. With 2.8 currently a PS4 exclusive, but Kingdom Hearts 3 slated for a cross-console release, questions remain as to whether the new compilation will hit Xbox One.  "Right now we haven't come to a decision on that," explained Yasue when asked about that possibility. "Nothing's been decided yet."

Nintendo Introduces New RPG Ever Oasis

During its Treehouse Live event today, Nintendo introduced an all-new role-playing series for the 3DS called Ever Oasis.

The announcement came during Nintendo's Treehouse Live event. After the reveal, Nintendo showed off gameplay, including visiting an oasis.

Stylistically the game takes cues from ancient Egyptian aesthetics, and there's an almost Animal Crossing vibe to activities in your oasis.

Ever Oasis is the creation of Koichi Ishii, perhaps best known as the creator of the Seiken Densetsu series, known in the west as the Mana series.

Yesterday Nintendo spent much of the day showcasing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. We had a chance to check out 7 minutes of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild gameplay set during the game's nighttime.
