Mosaic Is Marvel’s Newest Anti-Hero

At long last, Marvel has revealed the secret of the cryptic "Who Is Mosaic?" teasers. It turns out that Mosaic is the newest Inhuman to emerge in the All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe, and he'll be starring in his own ongoing series this fall.

Vulture had the scoop on Mosaic, revealing that this new character will be more flawed and morally ambiguous than most of his fellow Inhumans. When his story begins, Morris Sackett is a vain, self-absorbed professional basketball player. However, after being exposed to the Terrigen Mists, Morris evolves into Mosaic, a "free-floating entity" who has to possess the bodies of others in order to survive. This ability can be incredibly useful, as Mosaic gains all the skills and knowledge of those he possesses, but it also forces Morris to deal with the physical limitations of his host bodies.

Ed Boon Could Make a Horror Movie Fighting Game ‘One Day’

Ed Boon, director of Mortal Kombat X and Injustice 2, has said he'd be open to the idea of making a fighting game with a cast of horror movie characters.

The last two Mortal Kombat games have included guest characters from the Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Alien, Predator and Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchises, and Game Informer asked Boon whether NetherRealm Studios might take the next logical step and build a whole game around horror icons.

"Yes, yes! You know, as we've been accumulating them, that idea has been coming up more and more frequently," he explained. "You brought it up and a few other people have brought it up like 'why don't you do a horror movie fighting game?' Maybe one day we'll do it."

A Third of Valve Working on AR/VR Research

Valve reportedly has a huge portion of the company working on virtual reality and alternative reality research—about a third of it, in fact.

This is according to Alan Yates, a hardware engineer at Valve, who responded to a comment on Reddit in a post discussing virtual reality. "It was a much smaller team then than it is now, it has since grown to encompass about a third of the company," Yates said, "but the key individuals that solved most of the really hard technological problems and facilitated this generation of consumer headsets are still here working on the next generation."

Justice League Will Not Be a Two-Part Movie

Although it was originally announced by Warner Bros. as a two-part film, Justice League is now a standalone film and not a two-parter.

The film's producers, Deborah Snyder and Charles Roven, informed the press of that during a visit to the Leavesden set of Justice League this past Friday.

Later on during the set visit, the press had the chance to ask director Zack Snyder about Justice League: Part Two. Here's what he had to say about that.

Question: Is the second Justice League movie still tethered to this? Is that something that you still plan to direct? It was sort of announced early on in a shareholders meeting, but it sounds like they're closing that off for now?

Mighty No. 9 Delayed Again On Xbox 360

Mighty No. 9 has been delayed on Xbox 360, with other platforms still waiting for release.

The reasoning for the delay comes down to a bug found by Microsoft during the certification process.

Via the official website: "There were issues regarding the publishing process for the Xbox 360 version of the game, and a certification bug was found in the final round of testing which is delaying the release of that version for several days.

“Our team has already re-submitted the build to Deep Silver (and to Microsoft), and we expect it to go gold within a few days if all goes according to plan.

The post goes on to mention that Kickstarter backers who opted for the Xbox 360 version will receive Steam keys in the meantime, and “once the Xbox 360 version is ready for release we will send out those codes to the relevant backers ASAP."
