Pokemon Go Update Re-Enables iOS Battery Saver Feature

Niantic Labs has re-instated the battery saver feature for Pokemon Go players on iOS with the game's latest update, while also introducing a host of other changes for both Android and iOS users. Most notably, a new variation of the "Nearby Pokemon" feature is being tested.

The battery saving option allows players to turn their iOS devices upside down, darkening the screen but allowing the app to continue tracking for nearby Pokemon while it continues to run.

Earlier this month, Niantic revealed that the studio was working on returning the battery saver option while also continuing the game's worldwide rollout, specifically to Latin America. That update from the developer also detailed the alleged leak of legendary Pokemon appearing in people's accounts, which Niantic said it had "revoked."

Star Wars: New Details on Rogue One’s Holy Land Jedha

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director Gareth Edwards has shared a few new details about Jedha, the holy planet that will be featured in his upcoming film.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Edwards said Jedha will serve as a place that addresses "the themes of losing your faith" as the Rebels struggle under the oppressive rule of the Empire and evil that threatens the galaxy.

While the director noted this Middle Eastern-inspired holy land is occupied by the Empire he refrained from spoiling how this place of pilgrimage fell under its evil rule. That said, Edwards did go on to say that Jedha contains something of great importance to both the Empire and the Jedi, which EW suspects may be kyber crystals, the minerals that are used to power lightsabers and potentially the key resource the Empire needs for the Death Star's laser.

At a Marvel TV press mixer at the 2016 summer TV Critics' Association press tour, Rosenberg and Petrie told IGN about their positive experiences working on the same characters.
