FXX Is Going to Push “Aggressively” Into Animation
FXX is a network that is still discovering its identity, but FX CEO John Landgraf thinks it's closer to finding it.
Though FXX is the home to live action comedies including You're the Worst, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Man Seeking Woman, the network has gotten its best buzz for its showcasing of animation. In 2014, FXX aired a 12-day chronological marathon of The Simpsons, and Archer is expected to move to FXX for Season 8 in January 2017.
Landgraf explained during his 2016 summer TV Critics' Association press tour executive session that he is going to have FXX push "aggressively" into animation, even though some of the network's previous attempts haven't panned out as well as expected.
Retro Gaming Documentary – Exclusive Clip
We have an exclusive clip ("Anthony's Memories") from the gaming documentary, Lost Arcade.
Official Synopsis: The Lost Arcade is an intimate story of a once-ubiquitous cultural phenomenon on the edge of extinction, especially in New York City, which once had video arcades by the dozen. These arcades were as much social hubs to meet up and hang out as they were public arenas for gamers to demonstrate their skills. But by 2011, only a handful remained, most of them corporate affairs, leaving the legendary Chinatown Fair on Mott Street as the last hold-out of old-school arcade culture. Opened in the early 1940’s, Chinatown Fair, famous for its dancing and tic tac toe playing chickens, survived turf wars between rival gangs, increases in rent, and the rise of the home gaming system to become an institution and haven for kids from all five boroughs. A documentary portrait of the Chinatown Fair and its denizens, The Lost Arcade is a eulogy for and a celebration of the arcade gaming community, tenacity, and Dance Dance Revolutionary spirit.

Why American Horror Story Isn’t Revealing Its Theme for Season 6
Murder House. Asylum. Coven. Freak Show. Hotel. And... we still don't know yet? The theme of American Horror Story: Season 6 is being kept under wraps, and FX isn't going to be giving away the secret any time soon.
FX CEO John Landgraf explained the thinking behind the big AHS mystery during his executive session at the 2016 summer TV Critics' Association press tour, saying he and Ryan Murphy decided it might be fun to mix things up a bit six seasons into the anthology series' run.
"Every year we've basically laid out the themes and we've laid out the new genre Ryan would be approaching, and we just thought it would be fun to keep it a mystery, so we are," he said. The AHS team went so far as to have everything blacked out on scripts coming in that might give away the big reveal.
