Godzilla Animated Movie Coming Next Year
A feature-length animated Godzilla movie is in development at Toho, the Japanese creator and home of the King of the Monsters, and will be released sometime next year.
According to Variety, the screenplay for the film, simply titled Godzilla, is being written by Psycho-Pass: The Movie writer Gen Urobuchi and will tell an original story.
Polygon Pictures is producing the animated feature, and Detective Conan series director Kobun Shizuno is co-directing the film alongside Hiroyuki Seshita, who helmed the popular Netflix anime series Knights of Sidonia. "We’re aiming to make a big-scale animation entertainment that people who love Godzilla and people who know nothing about him can both enjoy," Shizuno said of the project in a statement.

Aaron Paul: From Breaking Bad to Final Fantasy 15 Film
Emmy Award-winning actor Aaron Paul may be known for playing one of TV's baddest bad boys, but he's really a good guy. Not just because he voices one in Square Enix's upcoming film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV. (He plays the part of Nyx Uldric, the movie's earnest main protagonist). He actually risked his life once to save another person. We got a chance to ask Aaron about that, why he chose to do Kingsglaive, and what he thinks of the current US presidential election.
IGN: I was at the Final Fantasy XV event in LA back in March, and when they debuted the Kingsglaive trailer, I turned to my friend and said, "Nyx Uldric looks like Aaron Paul." And then seconds later the company announced you were doing the voice of Nyx. Did Square Enix deliberately make the character look like you? Or was that just a happy coincidence?

Disney Files Patent for Real-World Lightsaber Battle Tech
Disney has filed a patent to allow the company to use drone technology to beam lasers through foggy environments towards someone wielding a custom lightsaber.
According to PatentYogi, the Star Wars-like interaction is achieved by filling an area with vapor, then arming a person with a specially-designed lightsaber that’s capable of transmitting IR lights towards the laser-shooting drones.
The IR rays are transmitted from the saber to the drone, then an IR sensor built into the drone creates a field of view based from where the person is standing, allowing it to – presumably – open laser fire.
