Via Kotaku, according to YouTube videos that have since surfaced, the free-to-download title appears to be a walking simulator through lush country landscapes combined with a Minecraftian-style crafting system and trading.
Molyneux hasn’t spoken much when it comes to The Trail. He has, however, spoken of his desire to incorporate leaderboards in a meaningful way as well as the “excitement of discovery.”

The Crow Reboot to Begin Production This January
Production on The Crow reboot will reportedly kick off in January, with Game of Thrones and Aquaman's Jason Momoa in the lead role.
As The Wrap reports, Momoa was previously rumored for the role, but has since all-but-confirmed his casting by posting a photo on Instagram alongside director Corin Hardy with the hashtags "sealthedeal" and "dreamjob."
The film was set to enter production in 2015, but was suspended following production company Relativity Media's filing for bankruptcy — from which it later emerged. Compared to the original 1994 adaptation, it's expected to be more faithful to James O'Barr's graphic novel.
Metroid Prime: Federation Force Tanks in Japan
To say that Metroid Prime: Federation Force has not done well in Japan would be an understatement.
According to Famitsu's latest sales data (as translated by Kotaku), the 3DS FPS game only sold 4286 copies in the country in its first week on sale, coming in at number 20 in the weekly sales ranking. Other new games debuted much higher, including No Man's Sky (15997 units sold) and King of Fighters XIV (23242 units sold).
We reviewed Metroid Prime: Federation Force last month, and said its neat ideas were "soured by an impotent and boring primary weapon".
6 Things We Learned About Marvel’s New Champions Comic
The name "Champions" carries a lot of weight in the Marvel Universe. The original team debuted back in 1975, but thanks to a prolonged legal battle, it's been decades since Marvel has been able to publish a new Champions comic. That's finally changing this fall, as writer Mark Waid and artist Humberto Ramos are introducing an entirely new take on the Champions as part of the Marvel NOW relaunch. The new Champions are a group of teenage heroes who are determined to prove they don't need any adult supervision to battle evil and make the world a better place.
Marvel held one of their "Next Big Thing" press calls today to shed more light on what promises to be one of the flagship titles of Marvel NOW. Both Waid and Executive Editor Tom Brevoort were on hand to talk about the new series and what role the Champions have to play in a post-Civil War II Marvel Universe. Scroll down to see what Waid and Brevoort had to say and to check out a new preview of the first issue.
Gears of War’s Dom Could Have Been Dominique
Much of Gears of War 4’s themes are inspired by the original game's, and some of what players will see in the new Gears comes from ideas that went unused in the first game. One of those is choosing the gender of the character for the second player.
“When I first joined Epic, one of my first ideas I had for Cliff
was ‘Hey, how about we get to pick the gender of your co-op player,’” The Coalition Studio Director Rod Fergusson told IGN. “So there’s Dominic and Dominique and you get to pick whether you want to play as male or female. Cliff laughed at me and we never did it.”
Fergusson said that having that the player choice he suggested could have hurt the original trilogy in the long run due to the importance of Dom’s story with his wife, and that offering that choice would have been technically challenging.
New Xbox Live Features Now Available in Preview Program
First announced at E3, two new Xbox One platform features will be available to Xbox One Preview members on console and the Xbox app starting today.
Clubs are created and managed by players, allowing Xbox users to come together in communities that can be used to coordinate game sessions, share content, and as group voice and text chat systems. Clubs can be associated with specific games and then found in that game's hub on Xbox One or the Xbox app. Club admins will have tools to manage their communities, and Club names must be reserved, as no two Clubs can have the same title.
