Aquaman/Furious 7 Director on Re-Launching MacGyver

The incredibly busy James Wan's most recent film as a director, The Conjuring 2, came out this summer, and he's currently prepping for his big follow-up, Aquaman. That's on top of all the films he's producing, including Lights Out, Annabelle 2, Insidious: Chapter 4 and more.

But stil, in the middle of all that, Wan -- whose previous credits include everything from Saw to Furious 7 -- found time to direct and executive produce the pilot for CBS's new version of MacGyver, debuting this Friday.

I spoke to Wan about why he wanted to make MacGyver the first TV series he tackled, overcoming the MacGruber-driven jokes about the character, casting Lucas Till (X-Men: First Class) and more.

Today is the Last Day to Get PlayStation Plus for $50 Before the Price Increases

If you have to jack up the cost of an essential service, this is the way to do it: several weeks back, Sony gave consumers a heads up that PS Plus will cost $60 a year starting September 22nd. Now we're less than 24 hours from the price increase, and there's no online multiplayer on PS4 without paying up for Plus, so I suggest buying two years or more (you can add multiple years to your subscription) so you never have to pay full price, at least until the PS5 comes out.
