Westworld Creators Are Working on Season 2 Stories
While HBO has not officially renewed Westworld for Season 2, the show’s co-creator Jonathan Nolan revealed today at the show’s New York Comic Con panel that he, co-creator Lisa Joy, and their writing team were already at work on another potential season – saying they were currently in the process of “breaking” (arc-ing out) the season. So while we still wait for word on HBO’s official decision, it’s certainly safe to be optimistic about the show continuing.
During the panel – which followed a screening of the show’s second episode and was moderated by IGN's Eric Goldman -- Nolan, Joy and cast members Thandie Newton (“Maeve”), Jeffrey Wright (“Bernard”), Jimmi Simpson (“William”) and Ben Barnes (“Logan”), spoke about the creative process, while deftly avoiding any question that would possibly lead to a spoiler.
These Unreleased Street Fighter Statues Are Spot On
Pop Culture Shock Toys has a bunch of unreleased Street Fighter figures on display at New York Comic-Con 2016.
These figures of Ryu, Evil Ryu, and Yuri all look amazing, but are still pending approval.
Details are slim on when these figures could be headed to market. Pricing isn't available, either. Ryu is a 1/6 scale figure, which usually costs just over $300 on the Pop Culture Shock Toys website. Comparable figures to Evil Ryu and Yuri—which are both 1/4 scale statues—usually go anywhere from $300 to $700.

Legion Brings the X-Men World to TV
FX Networks brought its upcoming Marvel and X-Men-inspired TV series Legion to New York Comic-Con today, complete with the world debut of the first 20 minutes of the pilot and a cast/creator Q&A.
Legion stars Dan Stevens as David Haller, described by FX as “a troubled young man who may be more than human” -- in other words, he’s a mutant. The series’ showrunner Noah Hawley has already had great success on FX with Fargo, and so this adaptation of the X-Men character has big shoes to fill… but judging by what was shown today, it is more than ready to do just that.
Stevens and Hawley took the stage along with castmembers Aubrey Plaza (Lenny Busker), Rachel Keller (Syd Barrett), Bill Irwin (Cary Loudermilk), Katie Aselton (Amy Haller), Amber Midthunder (Kerry Loudermilk), and Jeremie Harris (Ptonomy Wallace) along with head of Marvel TV/executive-producer Jeph Loeb and executive-producer Lauren Shuler Donner.
SuperMansion Christmas Special Announced
Crackle's Emmy-nominated original stop-motion comedy series, SuperMansion, is getting into the holiday spirit with the half-hour special SuperMansion: War On Christmas.
Premiering Thursday, December 8th, SuperMansion: War On Christmas will feature the voices of Bryan Cranston, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Green, Jillian Bell, Dan Stevens, and the late Anton Yelchin - along with new cast members Jim Parsons and Gary Anthony Williams.
The Christmas special is part of the conversation at New York Comic Con's SuperMansion panel today moderated by IGN's Eric Goldman and featuring series creators Zeb Wells (Robot Chicken) and Matthew Senreich (Robot Chicken), and voiceover cast including Emmy Award-winner Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele), Breckin Meyer (Robot Chicken), Heidi Gardner (The Groundlings) and Gary Anthony Williams (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows).
24: Legacy Looks Like a Strong Follow-Up to the Original
"Why did you have to make us wait until February?" asked an excited audience member at the New York Comic Con 24: Legacy panel this weekend, regarding the show's premiere date.
"Because it's Super Bowl night!" responded Jimmy Smits, who plays John Donovan, a politician running for President in this brand new spinoff of the popular FOX espionage series, 24.
As premiere dates go (February 5th, immediately following the Super Bowl), this one works very well. From what was shown at NYCC, 24: Legacy wastes no time setting up the high stakes of this real-time adventure, all before the first commercial break, and the massive Super Bowl audience should respond well to it.
The main protagonist is Eric Carter (Straight Outta Compton and The Walking Dead's Corey Hawkins), an ex-Army Ranger who is thrust back into danger when he and his old Ranger buddies are targeted by a terrorist organization whose leader they killed.

We Saw Several Iron Fist Scenes – And They’re Great!
At the Iron Fist panel at New York Comic Con today, besides the new trailer that was released, a ton of new scenes were debuted as well. Each was designed to spotlight a character or element of the series and gave a good overview of what to expect from the next Marvel/Netflix show – telling the story of billionaire Danny Rand (Finn Jones) returning to Manhattan years after he vanished as a child, now having a very notable skill set and history.
Filming on Iron Fist literally ended today - at 9am Saturday, the crew had wrapped up an all-night shoot. But there was still plenty of edited footage ready to show...
New Walking Dead Scene Shows the Aftermath of Negan’s Attack
The cast and producers of The Walking Dead made their annual pilgrimage to New York Comic-Con today, shambling and staggering to the Theater at Madison Square Garden to promote the upcoming Season 7 while also looking back at all the misery of Season 6. Misery is their specialty, you know!
The extensive group that took the stage included stars Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Steven Yeun, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Seth Gilliam, Michael Cudlitz, Lauren Cohan, Sonequa Martin-Green, Melissa McBride, Lennie James, Alanna Masterson, and Austin Nichols, plus producers Scott M. Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert, and Gale Anne Hurd.
First, watch the new scene that was unveiled at the panel right here. But be prepared -- it takes place right after the big Negan scene from the end of last season (and the beginning of this scene) where he kills one of Rick’s crew with his horrific baseball bat:
